Jasmine Thai — Restaurant in Lacey

Their prices are outrageous for the portion size! We called in and ordered some sticky rice and chicken larb to go. Arrived to pick up our order and our total was over $48 for such little food! The chicken larb was about $20 and the sticky rice was about $28. The chicken larb was so dry and the take out container had been lined with chunks of lettuce to make it look like there was more chicken larb than there really was! As for the sticky rice, the serving size was also ridiculously small! For $28 of sticky rice, I was expecting to receive almost twice as much as we had gotten, seriously thought they had forgotten to give us our full order of sticky rice! Will definitely be our first and last time...

We found a gem of a place today - Jasmines Thai in Lacey, WA. The exterior was welcoming, with beautiful flowers and outdoor patio seating. The inside was so cozy. The staff was attentive and very friendly and the lunch arrived quickly. Dad couldn't wait to have the coconut water, with real coconut pieces. Lunch was absolutely delicious!!!! We will defend eat here again, and looking forward to it. Dad had Golden Cashew: Sautéed tofu with roasted cashew nuts, bell pepper, celery, onion, carrot, mushroom and chili sauce. We ordered the following items for lunch today:

Fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce - fresh and fragrant because of the fresh basil, the peanut sauce was literally peanut butter and water - bland

Wonderful orang sauce - watery sweet orange sauce with plain steamed tofu and veggies - ok but not great - too simplistic like just some orange juice thinned out with water

Pad sen yai with tofu - bland and greasy. It tasted like peanut butter water sauce and was incredibly disappointing. I did enjoy the tofu in the dish, it was fried and had good texture

Basically the meal was edible but extremely bland, which is not at all what I expected from Thai food which is usually very nuanced...
