Tuna Poke — Restaurant in Lacey

As a routine customer, I was excited to share this place with my friend who just moved into the city. The young lady who was the cashier was so rude. Apparently, their dining room closes at 7:30pm. I was completely unaware. So I asked the young guy if we could have that table to eat so he wouldn't put the chairs on the table. He said, of course.

Apparently, this young cashier completely ignored the fact that we were there. She embarrassed the young staff member by giving him looks of disgust that he allowed us to sit there. I told her, "oh we asked him if we can have that table." Her eye rolling, attitude, and treatment towards that employee was completely unprofessional. She then proceeded to tell me that the dining room closes at 730pm. I was already upset about the mistreatment, so I said that should be communicated somewhere so we know. Of course, she didn't say anything. She then proceeded to boss around the other employee and asked if he had wiped the tables. It was more than evident he had done so.

This employee needs retraining, mentorship or to be let go because she lost my business, my friends, and degraded an employee in front of customers. Not the greatest representation of...

Possibly the worst meal I have ever tried in Thurston County. I try to seek out Poke anywhere I go because it's one of my most favorite meals. I accidentally ended up in a part of Lacey and spotted this place and got pretty excited. Ordered my regular protein mix.I dont expect tons but the scooper used was the smallest ice cream scoop I have ever seen. I ended up with nine cubes of fish. She had to thrown the fish into a bowl and add the sauce seperately which wasn't too odd. Then she asked for my sauce choice and I said "a little of the mild and a little spicy". Somehow I ended up with so much sauce that it enveloped everything else. I'm used to the fish being dressed in the cooler and not drenched with it after the fact. I added some fixings to the top and paid out at 11 dollars for a 3 protein bowl. The rice was overdone and resembled congee at the bottom. The sauce measured about a centimeter on top of fish and rice and completely overpowered everything as it was just sriracha and mayonnaise. I try to find good in the places I eat and reflect my pleasure in my reviews. I couldn't find anything redeemable for the food...

This place is delicious! It is my second favorite poke place in the whole Olympia-Tumwater-Lacey area (I LOVE poke and have tried most of the local places, so that is saying something). Their ingredients seem fresh and they are a good carry-out place because they are so fast. They also really pack the food in the bowl when you get a salad base, which not everywhere does.

The only reason I rate them below five stars is because of their prices and the way I feel as a customer when I order there. I can be a little indecisive about certain toppings or sauces, especially since I am usually ordering carry-out for multiple people and the employees REALLY rush me when I am making my choices and don't seem to appreciate having to answer questions about what the toppings are. They are also a little bit more expensive than some other poke options nearby that use a similar quality of goods. That being said, they are amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a good poke place! My niece had never had poke before. I took her here and it's her favorite...
