BAIT AND SWITCH PRICING, INEPT STAFF.
I found a coupon online and decided to order an item that qualified under the coupon (thin crust two-topping pizza). I called the Marvin Rd. Lacey, Washington branch and read the coupon to them. I spoke to a female employee named Jennifer. I told her that I had found the coupon on the Papa Murphy's website. I read it word for word and asked if they would accept it. The coupon stated that it was valid in-store or online, for an $8 two topping thin crust family size pizza. Jennifer confirmed that the coupon for an $8 pizza would work. I sent my partner to pick up the pizza. When she arrived, she was told that the coupon would not be honored (by the same employee). Jennifer stated that the coupon would only be valid if it had been received by text message (even though I told her on the phone it had been obtained online). The employee said that the coupon would work only if ordered online.. My partner paid nearly double ($15 plus tax) for the same pizza. There was no attempt to offer an alternative coupon or apologize. If I had known that the coupon would not be honored, I would have ordered a much larger pizza (a stuffed crust for example) for a couple dollars more and received much more food. Very unsatisfied with the inaccurate information from Jennifer and the unwillingness to do anything to...
Read moreWe ordered a pizza online today (Halloween), and really, I have NEVER seen a staff that was so fine tuned, hard-working, and friendly than the group at the Hawk's Prairie store. The franchise owner should be so proud of this staff! The store was incredibly busy, and through it all, the workers were efficient; they maintained their composure; and their attention to customer service was impeccable! I watched as the young lady wrapped each pizza (and they were coming FAST), and with each pizza she handed to a customer, she said "Have a nice evening," "Thank you for your patience," etc. Maybe one of the more interesting things was how the workers' friendliness encouraged customers to do the same -- and so there were comments made by the customers such as "Thank you for doing a good job," "Thank you for your hard work," etc. Being in this store this afternoon -- one that was PACKED with 27 customers at one time -- showed me young people who work hard and care about their customers. I really never write reviews of anything... but I...
Read moreI have brought hundreds of pizzas over the last 10 to 12 years from this Papa Murphyâs. In the past my experiences have been good. Last night I order a pizza using one of their flyers that had their coupons in it. I handed the young men the flyer and he torn out a different coupon then the pizza I wanted. Which resulted in me going home and baking a pizza and finding out it wasnât what I wanted. When I called Papa Murphyâs I was told that I could bring back the pizza and exchanged it for the correct one. I wasnât told that I could bring it back the next day, so I wasnât willing to drive back down last night. When I called today to talk to the manage about this experience, the one thing that stood out in our conversation was when I was told that this Papa Murphyâs is doing quite well and essentially doesnât needed my business. I understand mistake happen and this was only a pizza, but since my business is not needed I am willing to go some place that will also bake my pizza and charge me...
