We purchased a reclining sofa and 2 recliners in December and they were delivered in January. While the delivery drivers were removing the existing sofa, they ignored my husband's instructions on how it needed to be angled to get out of the door and they dropped it, crushing the wall of the stairwell, as well as scratching 3 other walls and the door facing and severely damaging the sofa we intended to sell. Our home was brand new, new construction we had lived in 3 months, needless to say we were extremely upset. We immediately contacted the store which told us to contact the call center. A damage claim was made and we were told someone from the claims department would contact us in 2-5 business days. When I was contacted, the lady claimed that I did not list all of the damage done to my home, therefore Rooms To Go would not pay all of the damage I was claiming. She went back to review the recorded phone call to prove to me, I did not claim all of the damage. I had in fact contacted the store, my sales lady and the call center twice within a span of 1 hour. I was forced to prove through time stamped text messages that I did in fact show my sales lady pictures of all of the damage done to my home. The lady I dealt with in claims, "Aly" literally screamed at me on the phone, and accused me of lying. That was the most heated, confrontational phone call I have ever had in my life, this coming from "customer service"! I immediately contacted the BBB of Florida where the corporate office is located. They contacted corporate on my behalf where corporate contacted me immediately and asked for pictures and information. They settled with me on a monetary amount to fix the damage to my home. I will NEVER buy another thing from Rooms To Go again!!!!!! I will tell everyone I know about the experience, and tell them not to shop there. I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased anything from there because I am not the only person dealing with issues from this company. I tried calling custom service on several occasions stayed on hold forever and could not speak to a real person..so I showed up in store. Very unpleasant staff with little to no custom service. I did escalate to speak to the manager because nothing was being done about this issue. Manager said he was going to talk to his regional about my poor product I received and that I requested a switch now so Iām not sleeping on an awful awful mattress for a month (trial period before switching.) He took down my number, he never called me back. That was over a week ago. The salesman that sold me the mattress told me I had 90 days to return it if I was unsatisfied because I asked that before purchasing. I didnāt want to get stuck with a $1,700 mattress I hated. I brought this to the managers attention and he denied that being a thing and told me that salesman had been ālet goā which other staff told me that prior also. This is what I was sold and told.. itās not my fault your salesman wasnāt honest and forthcoming about the policy. Iāve had an account here for years but I must say I will not be making any future purchases and do not recommend anyone does either. Clean got the Sofa up the stairs with no issues, but there was no power cord for the Sofa. The delivery driver said it was never loaded on to the truck. He told me Iļø can go into my showroom and they would have my cord. Iļø go to my show room and they told me they did not have a power cord Iļø need to reach out to customer service. So Iļø do just that. Customer service looks up my order and tells me to check under my Sofa to make sure the power cord wasnāt missed. After Iļø tell them it wasnāt missed then they ordered me one but it was going to take 3-5 business days. Fast forward to today Iļø received the cord it is the WRONG CORD. So now I call customer service back and explain everything again for them to tell me they are not sure if they have this cord in stock/if they do it will take 3-5 business days for it to arrive.
