I enjoyed my meal but I wouldn't say it loved it. It has been at least five years since I ate here because my previous two experiences weren't good at all. It was better this time. All of the staff were friendly and they were busy during my visit. You'll have a better experience if you can time your visit when they are not busy. When they have lots of people waiting, they'll start your order and then stop so they can start taking more orders. So all the hot ingredients that were put into my burrito, such as the meat, rice, beans, sit out on the open counter getting cold. At this point, the burrito has not been rolled up. Everything got cold. Finally after a long wait, they resumed making my burrito. The flavor was good but the meat was overwhelmed by the beans. I happened to order pork. I found the pork lacking any flavor. I will make a different choice next time. I've had the steak previously and it was seasoned better. Just to be clear, the burrito didn't taste bad or anything but then again it didn't wow me either. I also ordered chips and queso on the side. I really enjoyed the chips which are very thin, crispy, and lightly salted. The queso was a mix. The flavor was excellent in my opinion but it's so watery that it's hard to dip your chips without queso dropping everywhere from the cup to your mouth. Not only is that messy but it makes it very hard to get enough queso on the chip, at least to my liking. But the flavor was good, in fact among my favorites that I've ever had. In the end, the meal was fine but if they addressed some of these flaws, at least in my opinion, I would go there more often. Note that unless you're a big eater, the smallest size burrito is a very generous portion. You won't go...
Read moreI order From here regularly as i work Down the street, and i always Order the same thing - a chicken burrito bowl. I paid $20 for a kids bowl and a chicken burrito bowl all for the bowls to have slim to no food. They also forgot my lettuce that i added and paid for. I called The manager, for her to tell me “Well those are proper portions and whoever made it before us put too much” i responded With “so the 7-10 times i ordered Here, they put too much but it’s the same workers as there were today” she didn’t respond. The kids bowl itself did not fill up my 6 year old child. As a manager you would think you would do what you could to accommodate a regular customer. So they have lost my business and i advise Check your “portions” and food...
Read moreI recently visited the Izzo’s Illegal Burrito on Johnson Street and was assisted by Kashawn, who delivered exceptional service. As a former manager at Izzo’s, I understand the importance of professionalism, portion control, and customer care—and Kashawn excelled in all areas. He was polite, professional, and efficient, demonstrating the kind of leadership potential any business would value.
Although there was about a five-minute wait to reach the counter, I know this is common in a fast-casual setting, and Kashawn made up for it with prompt service once I ordered. His attention to portion control was spot-on, and he handled everything with skill and confidence. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and impressed by his...
