A Disappointing Experience with Service and Accuracy I’ve visited this establishment several times over the years, but unfortunately, my recent experience left much to be desired. My wife and I were looking for a quick takeout meal after a long day, and we decided to place an order here. I opted for the pork carnitas, which is supposed to be served with rice, charro beans, lettuce, sour cream, and pico de gallo. However, when I received my order, the beans, lettuce, and sour cream were missing entirely. My wife ordered the puffed taco, which traditionally comes with beef, beans, lettuce, tomato, and is topped with chili con carne and cheese. She had requested no beans or tomato, but instead of the beef, we received rice. While the food was flavorful, it was disappointing to see the order so far from what we expected. We also ordered an appetizer of queso dip, priced at $8. For that price, I anticipated a decent portion, but the small cup we received (roughly 1-2 ounces) is a real poor value for the cost. It's pretty pathetic. To make matters worse, the service was less than professional. When picking up the order, Blanca, who rang us up, became rude and confrontational when no tip was left. While I understand the importance of tips, this was a takeout order, and no exceptional service was provided to warrant one. Unfortunately, this place has clearly declined in quality and service over the past year or two. Given the repeated issues with order accuracy and the unpleasant interaction with staff, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

First time here. Just enough customers to not be overcrowded. Service was good. Waitress was really nice and attentive. Everything was good, kind of a typical Mexican restaurant. Margaritas were really good (2 for 1 until 7pm); choice of regular, strawberry, or mango. As usual had a round of chips and salsa. I have been on a chimichanga kick lately and wanted to try the ones here. I got the shredded chicken chimichanga with rice and beans, and the regular margaritas. My husband got the burrito Supreme with beans and grilled jalapeños with the mango margaritas. Food was really good. Also had room for dessert but forgot to take a picture. Ended up getting a brownie with a scoop of ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup. Definitely was a good last minute dinner thought the night before Thanksgiving.

Was good overall with a few disappointments. Steak fajitas was wonderful, great steak. The pollo loco was good as well. The tortilla soup had a great flavor with some spicy in there, a bit different than traditional it was sort of creamy based . Pork carnitas dish was missing the sauce it was supposed to come with but was good, the pork very tender but not like traditional carnitas. Steak chimichanga was disappointing it was not fried well at all and not very flavorful. The shrimp diablo left some to be desired was not great. The corn dip appetizer was basically just corn on a plate for 10 bucks Place is a bit overpriced in my opinion as well. Almost 150 for 5 of us, didn't feel like it was worth 30 per person average price with all of us having water for drinks.

Horrible experience! The 1 star is only given for the hostess and the person who brings the chips and salsa to the table. I decided to try Pedros out for the first time with my family since I always pass by and see its very busy. We walked in and the hostess was very nice and took us to our table. We get brought the chips and salsa and start looking at the menu. As I read the menu, I saw the taco said "hard or soft shell" and that's when I knew it was over. I was expecting some real authentic Mexican food. All there is around Lafayette is the same "Mexican" restaurants, I thought Pedros would finally be the one. Anyways, my family and I were sitting there for about 10-20 minutes and NO ONE, and I repeat NO ONE came to ask us what we wanted to drink. A waiter and waitress kept walking around us and looking at us but would go to their 1 table they were each taking care of. Even if they weren't our waiter/waitress, it would have been nice of them to tell our waiter/waitress that we had been sitting there for a while. The manager happened to be walking around and I thought she would've noticed that our table was empty but instead, she saw us and right when she reached the bar she turned back around. My family and I decided to leave, aside from the fact that this happened to us, the food didn't really interest us anyways. I am highly disappointed that I am having to sit here and write a horrendous review but I am only doing this to help benefit the restaurant and improve...

I got take out at Pedros one day for lunch. It's pretty expensive. When I got my bank statement I discovered that they took $5 more than the bill was for, $5 more than my receipt said. I called and spoke to someone who claimed to be a manager called Patricia. She said I left a $5 tip. No I didn't, it was takeout and the food is expensive enough, I didn't leave a tip. I have my receipt. She was very nice and said she'd refund the $5.

A few days later when I checked my bank's website there is no $5 refund pending from Pedro's. I called the bank and asked if there was a refund would I see it pending on your website? Yes, I would. I called Pedro's and I hear one ring then I'm cut off. It seems that the fake nice Patricia did not give me a refund and she blocked my number!

This restaurant stole $5 from me and lost a customer. I am not going to go to a restaurant that steals money from me! I live nearby and like their food, I'd have been a customer for years to come, if they didn't steal my money. The money they would have made from me in the future gone because they stole $5. I think that's insanely stupid especially considering their prices, less than the cost of one...
