I made reservations for the Prisoner wine dinner. I added a special request to my reservation indicating that I only eat seafood and would need a substitution for the filet mignon portion of the meal. I never heard back to let me know my request could not be accommodated. The day of the dinner, my friend called the restaurant to see if she could be added to my reservation. Mackenzie informed my friend my special request could not be accommodated, but never bothered calling me. Instead, she suggested my friend let me know. After I spoke with my friend, I called the restaurant and was informed the four course dinner was a āset menuā and that I ācould still comeā but I wasnāt going to be able to get a substitution. I expressed that I had this reservation booked for weeks and no one told me that. I was then put on hold so that she could check with the chef and see what could be done. She then came back to the phone and told me the chef was only able to make salmon since it was ālast minuteā. I explained that while they may have been treating it as a last minute request, I actually made this reservation weeks prior. I told them to go ahead and cancel the reservation because Iām not going to pay premium pricing for subpar service.
A week later, I went to the restaurant and spoke with the manager, Diamond, to share my concerns. Diamond told me I was misinformed and that they have been able to accommodate special requests in the past. However, instead of making up for the error and the inconvenience, her solution was to pitch me on the next wine dinner, promising she would be āall over that reservationā. Well, where were you for this one? And why would I want to book with you in the future when you havenāt done anything to correct your past mistake? Diamond then said she would āinvestigateā the matter. I left my phone number but never heard back. What a waste of time. You can get better service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy 1st timehere and almost everything had gone Wrong! 11-09-23 From my husband making Reservations the day before requesting our table to be set up and ready for when we arrived for our anniversary (nothing was done upon his request) too Not getting what I ordered (poor service)!! Right after we was served our bread, our waitress put confetti on the table afterwards, which my opinion should had been done before we arrived and before giving us bread. Our Waitress didn't ask us if we wanted to start with any appetizers, my husband had a 1- glass of wine she never asked him if he wanted another glass nor did she ask him if he'd like something else to drink. I didn't get my dish of lobster mac-n-cheese, also was out of Tomahawk Steaks, we wasn't even offered dessert after finishing our meal. Due to her not asking my husband would he like something to drink after he was served, I generously leaned over the table and asked my husband did he want my drink. Because He didn't want it, I told him I was finished with my drink so he could have something. He than drank the rest of mine. I'm extremely Disappointed in the Service and Preparedness ahead time! At the end when we was about to leave a gentleman came to our table and ask how was everything. I wasn't honest, only because Our night already wasn't going well, I just wanted to pay for our meal and leave. I've seen the reviews before coming and I was Happy to see so many good ones. Unfortunately for Us we only had Great Food. That's It!!!! This was our Worst fine dining...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChristmas Day. 1:15 reservations for my 85 year old mother in a chair and two others. Used valet. The valet misplaced my key and blamed me for 25+ minutes. I dumped my purse 3x, searched the car, trunk, under seats, under car, mother's purse, etc. He found the key IN HIS POSSESSION and stated , "my bad".
While searching for the key to move my car (that was blocking traffic), the hostess asks if we would like to sit on the bar. When I informed her that my car keys were missing, she rudely responded, "I was just offering an alternative." Waited an HOUR after the reservation time to be seated. We were offered a booth. (Did I mention my mother was in a chair?)
We were seated by the door with people standing over us while waiting for a table. The manager made excuses (e.g. "we can't ask people to leave", and "the valet is a 3rd party vendor unaffiliated...")
Steaks were over cooked, waitress could care less, drinks ordered "straight-up" incurred an up charge. My mother could not cut through her steak.
Upon leaving, no one assisted with seating my mother in the car or placing the chair in the trunk.
Paid over $350.00 for the worst dining experience in my 62 years.
PS: After receiving the response from Ruth's (below), I reached out. I received no response for weeks. Reached out again. When I finally received a response, they had little interest in hearing me. They wanted to throw a free meal at me and call it done. ...
