We live in another state now but are in town visiting family. We wanted something different for brunch.
Parking is limited. It’s free parking along the street, however a lot of the neighboring businesses have many of the spots reserved.
We thankfully didn’t have trouble finding seating, but it quickly filled up. Seating is also a bit tight and a little difficult to maneuver with kids.
I’d say we are adventurous eaters and love clean food, however my husband did not like his waffles. He said they were a little lack luster and the raw matcha powder sprinkled on top made them a little dry and too bitter. My sandwich was very good. Our drinks were also good.
I’d say they definitely try to be kid friendly with the kid plate and a welcoming environment, however older kids are a little more difficult to manage here. The “baby plate” has seasonal fruit with whole blueberries, so just be mindful of that. I don’t think disposable cups were an option so I was trying to fight my son to not break the glass of milk. The 11 year old with us also had trouble finding something he liked to eat.
Prices were a little steeper than we anticipated. We were expecting it to be cheaper because some pictures on the Google review page are old with cheaper listed prices. After we paid, I looked up their actual website and prices are more expensive. I’m sure this is due to inflation and I completely understand. Just be mindful to look at the actual website menu for up to...

I can’t say enough about this incredible gem of a restaurant! From the moment you step in, it’s clear how much care and passion the owners have for every aspect of their business. Not only is the food exceptional, but knowing it’s sourced thoughtfully adds an entirely new level to the experience. Every ingredient seems to have been chosen with purpose—local produce, fresh herbs, and even the rice is grown in soil they’ve selected for its sustainability.
The owners go above and beyond, partnering with local farmers to ensure that everything is as fresh and organic as possible. They’re mindful about packaging too; everything they use is eco-friendly, and they’re committed to minimizing waste. It feels so good to support a restaurant that truly cares about its environmental impact and the health of the community.
Plus, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are Noticeably Happy and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell they’re just as invested in the mission as the owners. If you’re looking for a place that values quality, sustainability, and community, this is it. Truly an experience...
Read moreJust a fair warning for out of towners- it’s not normal breakfast food, and what they do serve isn’t very good, at least not what our group ordered. I like my homemade whole wheat waffles better than theirs. The 5 mile breakfast came with a salad as the greens, I assumed they would be sautéed greens. It just didn’t go with the egg and sweet potato for me. The cinnamon roll was very airy and had a hint of orange flavor, which may be fine for some people but I prefer my cinnamon rolls to be moist and dense. I wanted orange juice and they only had satsuma juice and it tasted a little rancid. Our group didn’t order any coffee or tea so I can’t speak to their other beverages. Overall- if the whole foods scene is your jam then you may love this place- for me it was just meh after choosing it based on the...
