Sliver Pizzeria — Restaurant in Lafayette

We arrived for an early dinner, around 5:30, and the restaurant was empty except for a lone booth occupied in the corner. So I was blown away when the chef, doubling as the order taker while his co-worker was on break, produced the best pizza I’ve ever had. We chose the pizza of the day: corn, zucchini, yellow onion, mozzarella, French feta — whatever that is — cilantro, garlic olive oil and lime. The perfection of this pizza and the way its flavors combined so brilliantly, suggested a food scientist had made it his master’s thesis. The thin crust was somehow crunchy and chewy simultaneously. The green sauce, darling of many reviews, is as good as fans say. And the salad of the day — greens with berries, feta and a slightly sweet dressing that the order taker/chef described as “strawberry blueberry” except it was almost completely white — also exceeded my expectations, in the best way. My only regret is that we ordered a half a pizza— $15 and worth it — and finished it all, so there was nothing left...

I don’t know what happened this place, it has a terrible vibe. And usually there’s great customer service but the new person working today wasn’t it. The tables are dirty with crumbs on them as if it has been like this for days(I went there right when they opened). The windows snuffed with finger prints like children whipped their dirty hands all over and they don’t bother to clean. The order I received today had hard pieces in it which was very unusual because I have gotten this pizza often and never had that happen before, I almost chocked on shards of a foreign object. I called back about this and the made up an excuse and just said sorry without trying to fix the situation. The energy is bleak, and employees just doing the bare minimum. As a Berkeley native I’ve known this restaurant franchise and since the beginning and I know cheese board service is unbeatable but it is sad that this is the service you offer for...

My wife and I just had an awesome dinner at Sliver! We love this place, and tonight reinforced why. Reese and his team were super welcoming even when we showed up close to closing. We got two pizzas fast, and they did not disappoint. Fantastic flavor, crispy and crunchy crust, and fresh ingredients. We always load up on the chimichurri/ green sauce too. Nom! Reese was super kind too and stopped by to ensure all was good and provided excellent service to us tonight.
