I was horrified at the smell in my hotel room in Downtown Lafayette, and the windows wouldn't open. I went for a stroll to get some air and noticed a friendly hand-lettered sign for an artisan shop, Flora Candle Company.

These kind people saved my trip! A lovely store just packed with happy scents! And so friendly!

They were patient while I smelled everything they had in stock (all delicate/gentle/nuanced and natural: nothing industrial or overwhelming), and then sent me on my way with a reasonably priced candle that looks like it's going to give us months of service back at home (my wife loves it). I had an incredible visit to this amazing gem of a business in downtown Lafayette! I was visiting the area from Boston and was intrigued by the delicious scent that just smelled…well inviting and I had to go in. Troy at the counter was so kind and helped find different wax melts that would suit my needs, I also picked up some room sprays & really fabulous soaps! In addition they have tons of great stickers, earrings & some clothing available from other local makers in the area. The smell of maple pulled me into this beautiful candle store. Walked in and Noah was so welcoming and friendly. After wandering around and smelling the delicious candles, I was inspired to make a candle along with my son. Noah walked us through each step. Pick a beautiful container. Pick up to 3 scents. Stir in your scent(s) for about a minute and a half into your melted wax.
