I highly recommend it! When everyone else at my table was giving their food, the waitress came out and said, Well, I'm not sure what she had said that happened. She spoke too fast. One of my girlfriends said that she thought she had heard her say that they dropped it. But she was telling me that it would be a little longer. And I was like, no worries. We're going to be here a while. They had brought me my side, which was a biscuit and gravy, and also, i had a coffee. She says she was gonna bring me donuts for the inconvenience. I was like, no, that's good. She was like free donuts, and I was like, "Well, I won't turn down free food." A little bit later, everyone else is still eating, and they bring me another biscuit and gravy. I was like, yall really don't have to. They said it was for being so nice about it. So the workers are extremely nice. Being that it was my birthday a few days prior, my cousin wanted to pay for my meal. She said the ticket didn't have it. So I don't guess they end up giving it to me for free. It was really unnecessary but very sweet of them.
Now on to the food. The biscuits were good. I do prefer my gravy to have more meat, but that's more of a preference. I go with my girlfriends we taste each other's food so. I tried a lot of things. The french toast is really good, very large. Enough 2-3 people. The churstyle doughnuts are amazing. You get warm caramel with them. Very sweet. I couldn't eat more than half to much sweets for me. Grits are surprisingly good. It's very hard to find good grits. I got the brisket taco. At first taste, it was lacking a little seasoning. But once you put the green sauce on, it was amazingđ. Good coffee, not watered down.
Now to the atmosphere. I liked the colors very bright. They had the fire lit, which was super cute.
My girlfriends and I often do brunches. We like to go to new places. But we have our favorites that we rotate. This will definitely be added into the brunch places we like. Might be in my top three now by staff alone.
Update: Went again a few weeks ago with my husband. They did mess up and forget to put the honey mustard on our chicken sandwiches. They made a deal out of it, wanting to bring us new ones. No big deal, just bring us some out. I know it's a new place , so things are gonna slip by. It was a really good chicken sandwich. Not overcooked. They came out and gave us half off for next time. So they are really good with customer service.
Update 3 go: Feel like they now have all the kinks worked out. All went well. Got the grill chicken sandwiches again. Chicken wasn't dry but could use a little more sauce on bread. I would ask for extra. Husband got the patty melt burger was good, and he didn't care for...
Read moreHey everyone, first of all I want to say I respect everyone's review, but I have to say this. This place just opened not to long ago, they still learning them self in being able to do the very best they can to provide great service. I love the toasted yolk cafe, it's a very nice comfortable place to have breakfast with the family and spend a very nice time with coworker and friends for lunch. The issue is they're so many customers coming in and demanding the works to do things their way, it doesn't work that way. Once there was an impatient lady wanting to skip the line and treating hostess very rudely because she thought that her reservation was under her name. So they couldn't find her name anywhere, after she screamed at the hostess and said rude comments they figured out that she had made the reservation under her husbands name. People can be rude and impatient. Remember, all this worker's are doing their very best to be able to give a great service to all. So please, be patient, kind and respectful to all. If you can't wait patiently please respectfully get up and leave quickly. And another thing, hostess are only meant to sit people down, they are not the waitress. Waitresses are the once to get your order. So please be kind and respectful. With all do respect I say this. If you love the place send some love and share memories at this amazing place with friends and family. Have a great and wonderful day y'all đ,...
Read moreI never leave reviews, however⌠We visited this restaurant because the menu looked promisingâsomething for everyone in the family. It seemed like the perfect spot for a casual meal. That illusion ended quickly. I asked to add banana peppers(peperoncinis) to my sandwichâan ingredient already used in their appetizer, Greek salad, and even as Bloody Mary garnishes. A simple request, or so I thought. The response? A flat âNo, we canât do that,â followed by âTheyâre pre-portionedâ and âItâs a corporate policy.â It was clear the staff and management lacked even basic familiarity with their own menu, or any willingness to show flexibility. It wouldnât have taken extra effortâjust a bit of customer service. What followed was worse: both staff and management began openly discussing me in front of other customersâand my children. Not whispered, not behind closed doorsâloudly, publicly, and unapologetically. My kiddo even asked, âWhy are they talking about you like that? Why canât they wait until weâre outside?â We left before our food ever arrived. The unprofessionalism was beyond anything Iâve experienced in over 25 years as a chef. And the manager in the black shirtâseated behind a keyboard, supposedly from âcorporateââonly made things worse, yelling across the room and even sitting down at our table uninvited. This had nothing to do with food. It had everything to do with how poorly people are treated. We wonât...
