Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Lafayette

I just want to start of by saying I have worked in restaurants since I was 15 years old and currently STILL work in restaurant at the age of 20. I know all the ropes and tricks like the back of my hand when it comes to not wanting to deal with a customer. The first thing that someone sees in a restaurant is the hostess and that's pretty unfortunate for Buffalo Wild Wings because their hostesses were the rudest and most unhelpful people I've ever met. They acted as if we were intruding a gossip session and we were an inconvenience to them. I only feel sorry for the management and the owners of that establishment because Shae, Jasmine, and Eric are on their clock and seems to get paid for doing basically doing nothing. When we walked in we were asked if we wanted to seat inside or outside. We said we didn't care where we sat. Eric, who I am assuming was a server and didn't want a table told us to go outside that it was open seating. They refused to hand us menus so I grabbed two and they decide to tell me after the fact that menus are already outside. As we're leaving I ask for the hostesses names and they tell me. (Shae, Jasmine, and Marley) We walk out and Marley followed us out and stopped us to ask what we wanted their names for. We explained how we worked in restaurants and know the game. And Marley said that Shae and Jasmine were talking about it. Marley however was not at the hostess stand when we walked in and was actually polite. The customer service was appalling. Too bad I was not a shopper because the score would have been awful. I will never eat at this establishment again and apparently from all the other reviews I'm not the only one that feels as if the customer service needs EXTREME working on. Was very disappointed with our experience at this location.

We were greeted by a very friendly hostes and seated promptly. Unfortunately things went downhill after that. We waited for 15 minutes with no server coming to our table until I finally flagged down the hostes. She apologized and took our drink orders. We ordered an appetizer which came out with incorrect wings and soggy nachos. We ate what we could from the appetizer and then had to wait a while before the server came to take our meal order. When the main dishes came the macaroni and cheese was cold. We ate what we could but never saw the server again for napkins or refills or take home boxes. I finally went and asked the hostes for our bill. She asked if everything was OK and when I explained the situation she apologized profusely and went to get a manager. He listened to my complaints and took some off the bill and gave us a discount on a future visit which was appreciated. What I didn't appreciate was him trying to explain that the nachos were actually prepared correctly. Last I knew you were supposed to be able to pick up the chip without it folding over and dropping all the topings all over the place. The waitress didn't bring us anything we needed unless asked numerous times, she kept hanging out by a guy sitting by himself instead of watching her tables. We were there for my little brother in law's 13th bday with just the family . Many of us had to get up and go refill our own drinks . Once our food started coming out we had to clean up our trays from the appetizer samplers and throw them away so we had room on the tables to eat. Once we got the food a lot of the burgers were cold. Not a little cold but one was like it had been sitting on the counter for 45 mins. I'm sure this was her fault as I suspect the plates were ready to go and she just let them sit there . Which ain't right on more than one level for the simple fact that she had asked us if we wanted it to all come out at once or for her to bring it as the plates were finished. Which we said to bring them out as they are available cause kids plates are usually done fastest and we have an autistic child that takes a little extra help. The manager was super nice and apologetic about the cold plate my wife sent back cause she chose not to wait on another plate cause most of us were done eating by the time our waitress could be notified.
