Update following Burger Bar’s response: I am reasonable, and given the circumstances you’re claiming, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and upgrade the rating to a 3. Your response to the situation and even this response to my review leave a lot to be desired, though. The situation was created by your staff’s initial lack of attention to us when we walked in, your failure to be better equipped with more high chairs, your staff’s failure to explain that the high chairs had been reserved in advance with the table, and, given all circumstances, your staff’s failure to recognize how this played out from an optics point of view, and how it would make me (or anyone) feel to be skipped over without knowing the circumstances, and then told there’s no room for me. Yes, I was upset, and I thought I’d get more than a shrug and a sorry from a place I’ve been to more than 10 times since opening. I also don’t care for your gaslighting about how I declined the booster seat; I would have been happy to use it had it been appropriate, but a booster seat without straps is intended for bigger kids, not one-year olds that need to be strapped in. Thanks for the apology but I still don’t feel like coming back.

I came in with my one year old son and waited to be seated. After about a minute of waiting, another larger group with two babies walked in behind us. They were seated immediately. No big deal, I thought, but then realized this place only has two high chairs for babies, and both were given to this group. When the staff realized they couldn’t seat us, they just shrugged and said sorry. I hate to write this review because I love the food here and the atmosphere is great, but I’d rather drive to Cedar Park for a burger than be made to feel like second...
Read moreWhat a great little spot. Went to the Burger Bar on Thursday, Aug 31 and the food was banging. Being a new establishment in Lago we want to try a few different things to include burgers, fries, cocktails, beers, and appetizers. Having lived in Wisconsin, the cheese curds were amazing with a phenomenal raspberry compote. Ran into a Lago local - Chef Brooks - who explained the entire menu to us in detail and seemed genuinely excited about every menu item - hence us trying a bit of everything! While the bartenders were great, we could hear what turned out to be the owner that the taps were down and a bit of panic had struck in, beer was unable to be served... it's a new business, things happen. A little while later we got the chance to meet her (Hannah) and she told us that Chef Brooks jumped off the line to trace the tap system, determined the tap system error, and got the entire system up and running - we were able to get beers and local on tap root beer! Overall 9.5/10, there are a few kinks to work out, but what a great team! They have really curated a top notch menu with high quality ingredients - you could taste it. Best of luck Hannah and Brooks, I look forward to seeing where...
Read moreOur service was just great. Katy did what she should have done. But let's talk about the kitchen. We ordered an appetizer and a wedge salad, which should have come out first. Well, they didn't have the amount that we wanted in our boneless wings. Katy offers a smaller amount still, which they had enough of. So she notified the kitchen that we would take the smaller order. Then Katy went and attended to another table. Someone from the kitchen came out and dropped our burgers. Didn't ask if we needed anything else. She just turned around and ran away. We never got our wings or salad first. Very unprofessional. Katy did a right away check back and noticed what happened without telling her and quickly apologized and recovered by coming back with our salad and corrected wings. I felt that this kitchen staff didn't communicate with each other. Where's the manager hmmm...didn't know where he or she was????? Our dinner felt like chaos.... my past history is that I ran restaurants for almost 25 years....so I can see issues. We paid a lot of money for a burger place. I expect food to come out at their...
