China Express — Restaurant in LaGrange

I have been coming to China express for a long time. But thus was my last time ever eating there again. This was on 11/10/24 Around 8 or 9 p.m. I always get the cheese crabmeat, it was so bad I never took another bite! The egg rolls were cold and the rice had no taste at all. I had two more people with me and we all threw our food away. The servers had no gloves on and we visibly watched the man behind the register blow his nose and never washed his hands afterwards!!! Come on!!!!! If you complain they act like they don't know what your saying so it's use less. I heard a lady that came in after us ask the server behind the glass to wash her hands and why she didn't wear gloves, she did not respond to her. Please avoid this place. They are not practicing good hygiene or cleanliness and they are rude on top of all the badness!! DO...

As much as I hate to write this , because my son absolutely loves this place, and honestly, I love the veggie and crab on the buffet line . Our last very last 2023 1st week of December.

I got my usual crab meat ,veggies & and teriyaki chicken . Upon eating the crab meat, there was a bug. Smdh, it wasn't a roach it was something that had a stinger on it wings and was black .

I called back, and of course, she said no , so I took it back to the restaurant and didn't make a scene . She asked if I wanted more. I said no and asked for a soda out of courtesy. I would've thought she would've just given it to me, but she charged me. Lol

But what stood out more to me was that she didn't even pull the crab meat up and just served it as if nothing was wrong.

I thought that this was a "dollar scoop" place where you go in, and pay per scoop of what's available on the buffet line. However after joining Jackrabbit Deliveries, much to my surprise I discovered they have a traditional Chinese food menu.

We ordered the house special egg foo young and the sesame chicken. It was delicious! It was much better than the "scoops"

The egg foo young was very meaty and flavorful and the sauce it came with was delicious. It's more of a brown sauce vs a gravy like some places.
