Wish I could give this store a rating of 0 stars. I used them about 2 yrs ago to get a washer and dryer everything went smoothly until one payment day came up and I had made my payment early but was set up on auto pay I assumed I just wouldn’t get charged since I already paid it I assumed wrong they didn’t bother to look and see payment had been made and charged me again which unfortunately through my balance off in the bank to what I had calculated so I removed my debit card and wouldn’t allow them to have it for auto pay. I’m a nurse and got sent out of town for an assignment and missed a payment keep in mind I work 12 hours shifts and by the time I get off they are closed. Only 2 days had gone by and their little peon delivery drivers came to my home and decorated my whole front porch with their rent a center signs as well as down my whole sidewalk to the front door even hung them on my children’s bicycles on their way out. My husband came home to find it and was livid. I contacted corporate where the district manager immediately responded and thanks to those idiots they wrote off the rest of my washer and dryer and gave it to me after he reviewed the video I sent him of his employees decorating my yard talking trash about me not my paying my bills and one of them was on the phone talking to one of his homies about it. (This was all caught on my home cameras). Even the DM was astounded!! Fast forward I heard it was under new management and really wanted this living room set I just can’t afford to go buy all at once heard it was under new management so I went there to get it everything went well online and in store. Mrs. Sherrie gave excellent customer service and while I was there I was under the impression she must have been the new store manager because everyone was checking in with her and she finalized my contract with me. She told me I wouldn’t get that day which was Friday on the 13th that her earliest delivery time wouldn’t be until the following Thursday which was already almost a week and the couch was sitting in their store she allowed me to check my work schedule to make sure that day would work for me (I nurse 12hr shifts) and we agreed it worked. Thursday rolls around at around 11:30 I call and ask may I have an expected time it will be delivered so I can kind of plan out my whole off day and I’m told they don’t know if it’s coming they are short staffed and let’s just say unprofessional isn’t the word for the young man who answered the phone I kept my cool hung up because of previous experience immediately called corporate where it was looked into conversation ended with I was moved to top priority delivery and stay by my phone and be honest between 1-3 it was coming and my complaint was being escalated to a DM. At 4:30 no word I called the store to inquire about delivery and I was told the store called me (call never happened) to tell me and I quote “I tried to call to tell you you can come get it but I ain’t a got a driver so if you don’t pick it up it ain’t happening today”. I then asked to speak to Mrs Sherrie (thinking she is the manger) and was told I could not speak with her I was speaking to James the store manager and we weren’t gonna have issues like we did the last time and he hung up. After discussing it with my husband I called back canceled the whole deal got my refund and contacted corporate again because at this time I still haven’t heard from the DM I informed my account was notated that my furniture had been delivered and the situation the complaint had been resolved!!! Wow just WOW!!!!!! I got my second “complaint” ticket # from them and still ain’t heard jack!! Don’t do it people!!!!!!!! However they are real classy right down the road with wonderful customer service, big smiles and ready to help...
Read moreI was approved online for the lease of a laptop computer that I was going to give my daughter for her birthday. I made the first payment online with my debit card. When I talked on the phone to the lady at the store I told her that the lease for the house I lived in as well as the utility bill was in my mother's name because I moved in to help her out when she got out on disability. However my name was added to the lease as a resident. I was told that would be fine. So after 2 days of going back and forth making sure my ducks were in a row and I had everything I needed, I went to the store to pick up the laptop. When I get there I am treated poorly from the start. I am currently doing renovations on a friend's house as a side job and I was in dirty paint covered clothes. I'm guessing this is why the lady at the desk decided it was appropriate to look down her nose at me and make me feel like she thought I was some kind of theif. She refused to lease me the laptop saying that the lease needed to be in my name even though that is not what I was told over the phone. At this point it was the day before my daughter's birthday and there I was with no gift and no plan B. I will NEVER try to use this company again and will tell any of my friends or family members that mention getting anything from you to go elsewhere. Unless they enjoy having their time wasted and made to feel like trash by snooty old white women with their nose so far in the air they would probably drown if it rained. Read moreBeyond awful customer service. Leadership at this store is truly atrocious. The "manager" who did not give his name, has no sense of customer service, phone etiquette or grammar. His response to a mistake his staff made was to talk over me, raise his voice, and then hang up on me in mid sentence, after mumbling profanities. At no time was an apology offered or a resolution attempted. From the beginning of the call it was obvious by his tone and language that he did not care about a resolution or explanation. The employee who made the mistake said she messed up because this was her first day back after a long absence. That was confusing since we saw her in person last week. Please consider any other business or option available to you before you try to do business here. Hopefully they can find a manager who is able to communicate with customers without throwing a tantrum and hanging up the phone when faced with a mistake his team made.
