I have been 5 different times since Cookout opened and It's been horrible each time. They never fix the burgers like they're suppose to or like you specifically ask them to. Iv'e ordered burgers requesting ketchup, mayo, cheese, tomato and bacon on it only to get dry burgers with just cheese and bacon on it. This last time I just went I decided to get one of the burgers that all ready come with the extras on there figuring that they would get that right. so I ordered the cheddar style big double, and told them without the grilled onions on it. It was suppose to come with bacon, cheddar cheese, and mayo. What I got was under cooked bacon, barely any cheddar cheese, the little cheddar cheese they did put on there wasn't even enough to cover the very small patties, and there was no mayo at all on the burger. So my burger was extremely dry and wasn't what it should've been. The fries are either always overcooked to where they are hard, or they are dark brown and way too soft because they don't change out the fry oil. Every milkshake I've had from here wasn't blended well, the mix-ins are always at the bottom of the shake instead of being evenly spread through it. And for some reason there is always this horrible aftertaste in every drink that iv'e gotten from there. The staff there don't even look presentable, Iv'e seen them wearing flip-flops and iv'e seen a few of the guys there busting slack with their boxers clearly visible. I really had high hopes for the LaGrange Cookout when I heard they were coming to town, because Iv'e been to the one in Opelika at Tigertown, and the one at Auburn mall and they are both great. It will be a long while before I try the LaGrange cookout again, and I hope by then they have it all together, until then I'll just continue to drive to Opelika whenever I want some...
Read moreI very rarely leave bad reviews, however, after the bad customer service experience I had tonight, something must be said. Tonight when I was ordering my food through the drive-thru the cashier working the drive-thru was extremely rude. When I got up to the window to pay, I noticed that the lady who initially took my order was gone and another was at the window. I asked the lady at the window was she the manager and she said yes. I then told the manager my concerns/complaint about the rude cashier and she didn’t even acknowledge my complaint just said ok with an attitude. I then asked for corporate number and she told me it’s on the drink cup. When I asked the manager for her name she told me she didn’t have to give me her name. However, I was able to get a name off the receipt “Guwanda T”. On top of that, when I got home my food was cold and disgusting and missing the sauces I ordered -which I felt was purposeful. To say the least I had an horrible experience and I plan to reach out...
Read moreThis Cookout location does not measure up to the ones in NC, where they are fairly popular. I have tried this one from time to time while visiting here, but the experience has not improved any, mainly because the personnel don’t know what they’re doing and don’t care either. God forbid if I should need a condiment or something. They don’t even know where to look for it. The person who waited on me today was rude to me and didn’t know how to make an adjustment to my order. A manager (I presume) who was called over to do it for her was perfectly nice, however. The barbecue sandwich was skimpy on meat with very little sauce. The slaw looked like plain cut-up cabbage and had no taste whatsoever. The Cajun fries were all about 2” long and not particularly plentiful. The only good thing for the price was the huge tea for $2.39. The chain needs to write this location off as a loss if it desires to prevent further embarrassment...
