I’ve been anticipating visiting this restaurant since it opened..& I hate to say this but I’m so disappointed. This isn’t to bash the restaurant but to give an honest review of my experience. If I could describe this restaurant & experience it would be “on the cusp of greatness”—-every aspect (customer service , food, etc.) is soooo close to being great but just falls short of it . The menu, recipes, & customer service need some refinement.
The atmosphere is so beautiful & truly gives that NOLA feel. The menu has great options, I had the bodin balls & gumbo as an appetizer. The boudin balls lacked flavor without the sauce & the gumbo was wayyy too salty. For the entree I had the Etoufee with crawfish & shrimp, which was good & a generous portion. Last, I think that our server could’ve been more knowledgeable of the food options.
All in all I will not return for food after this experience, but I will come try a cocktail at the bar in the future. I will patronize & hope that this feedback is received...
Read moreFinally got to try NOLA on Main. And I cannot speak highly enough about this food.
We got the Boudin Balls as an appetizer. We also tried the Peel N’ Eat Shrimp and the Catfish Bites. All so good! I had the Blackened Chicken & Andouille Sausage over the goat cheese grits and a cup of Gumbo. Justin had the Cajun Ribeye with the same grits and collards. A friend of ours had the Cajun Alfredo Pasta. They have frozen drinks as well! The Pina Colada and Hurricane were both good! Then to the deserts, we didn’t order them because we had no room left. But we have great friends and we all passed the desserts around for everyone to try. They have banana pudding, bread pudding, and beignets! All are equally delicious!
If you go, the goat cheese grits are definitely a must! I, honestly, can’t talk about them enough! So. Good.

Read moreI was initially excited for not only a new restaurant in LaGrange, but a new TYPE of restaurant. I went to Nola on Main with high hopes. I ordered the Blackened Chicken and Andouille Sausage. It wasn't bad, I just expected something with a little more kick. The goat cheese grits were smooth and creamy, but I didn't really taste the goat cheese. It's a pretty strong flavor so the fact that it was lost in grits of all things was a little disappointing. The staff wasn't very aware (of me at least) it took quite a while to get my drink (it was a manager that finally got it for me) and after my order was taken I didn't hear from the staff until I was offered my check. It's still a relatively new restaurant, so I'm going to give it a while and try again. I just hope, at the very least, the staff is much more attentive...
