We were excited to try this new Taqueria and it didn't disappoint!! And by the number of customers there at lunch- word is getting out!
Service was attentive and fast, food was excellent. The owner personally makes his way to introduce himself and sincerely asks for feedback or if you need anything at all. His passion shines through and the authenticity, quality and care that goes into each of his dishes shows. The complimentary chips are warm and fresh, salsa is fresh made and fabulous, cheese dip was great, the guacamole was made authentically with fresh chopped avocados, lime and garlic and the street tacos (I got carne asada and grilled chicken) you could taste were all made to order. They make fresh fruit water daily- so refreshing!
I'll be back in 2 weeks when they have their liquor license to try what I was told was his family's secret margarita recipe. Wishing continued success to this new addition to LaGrange's dining scene. Do yourself a favor and give it a try and help...
Read moreCame in at 2:00pm on a Tuesday, the restaurant was literally empty. There were 5 of us and we sat at the “8 top”, because all of the other tables are made for 4 people and they try to add a seat and make it 5, which is cramped. We were asked to move to the other side of the empty restaurant and noticed we were cramped at the new table. I asked the lady behind the counter if we could move back, seeing as it was 2pm on the least busy day of the week, and she argued with me for five minutes about why they aren’t “allowed” to do that. She gladly let us walk out the door over an issue like this and said there was no manager on site that I could speak with.
If you’re going to leave your restaurant unattended with someone like this, make sure they have some common sense. This was an absolutely ridiculous hill to die on considering the time of day and day of the week, and you just lost about $80.00 because of her lack of...
Read moreThis is the best traditional Mexican restaurant in LaGrange. The food tastes like they actually make it instead of heating up a tv dinner. Nothing we’ve had tastes weird or unlike our expectations. The food is always fresh and delicious. The margaritas are pretty as well as tasty. The restaurant is attractive. The service is a little slow. Mostly it seems difficult to get attention after they are done serving our food. They bring everything we ask for while bringing our food, but then don’t come back.
*since this review, I have been back several times. The food is still delicious. I still consider this the best traditional Mexican restaurant. They do also serve authentic Mexican food - something for everyone. They’ve also improved their service so we get great service before and after we get our food. I highly recommend you try...
