Beers were great, but overall a very bad experience. Showed up shortly after 6 on a Sunday, they close at 8. We had 7 kids amongst 2 families and it wasn't busy so we took 2 tables. Server at the bar was not very helpful and didn't seem to like her job. She insulted the Mydnyht burger place when we inquired as to what they had to eat and what she liked, and wasn't helpful answering beer questions, just told us we could try whatever we want. When my wife and I went to sample a second beer she was short and seemed bothered we asked to sample a second beer. When we went out to inquire about the food, and the burger place was closing down. We saw some folks had ordered from a local pizzeria and asked about it and they said it was good so we decided to order from there, thinking we had almost an hour and a half to get the food, eat and enjoy a few beers. I love their chance on tap and both ladies really enjoyed the blueberry beer. Went to look at the merch, it was super messy and unorganized. You can't tell what shirts or sizes they have and it's locked up. It looked like they just ball up shirts and toss them back in after someone looks at them.
The ladies wanted to walk to get the food and it was not too far, so they left to get it. A few minutes later, about 650, the bar tender came to the table and told me it was last call. When I expressed their hours state 8, she said they were deep cleaning. I asked why they didn't say anything when we first came in or put signs on the door, she had no response, shrugged her shoulders and just walked away. Both my wife and her friend had left a half a beer behind thinking they'd be right back. So I had to trek 7 kids, by myself, to the pizza place, who graciously made room for us.
I really appreciate that they were deep cleaning and when we went back later to get the vehicles, we were able to see everyone was inside cleaning. However, it would be greatly appreciated if you state that up front and put signs on the door so people know, and put something on your social media. I also don't understand why folks can't work an hour later than normal for this deep clean. A couple was trying to walk in when I was walking out with the kids and were turned away, and were just as upset. It creates a bad experience. We would have arranged our night differently had we known.
We take the kids to the local Great Wolf Lodge once or twice a year and probably would have made this a staple for the beer, but based on our experience and service, we probably...
Β Β Β Read moreI keep buying their beers (hundreds of dollars worth of pints and six packs since day one) because I live in this town, but I've yet to be impressed by any of them. The space is cool as all get out, just not really any reason to visit. No real food, so order a pizza for delivery if you go (or just go to Beacon for exciting beers and exciting food). I mean if you're in your early 20's and drink your dinner regularly, you'll probably enjoy this place more. One of the owners (R.G.) should also take a "don't be a jerk to the poors" class. I'm a nice guy, I swear, but I've seen him make an adult man cry. He seems more money-hungry than beer-crazy. Wouldn't be surprised if they sold out to a beverage conglomerate before the end of 2021, which I'm cool with, because they might start making interesting beer by then. (Wide palate for all styles of beer, has had every canned offering, light experience on the taproom exclusives, hasn't attended any...
Β Β Β Read moreGreat place! Great atmosphere! it's outdoor only right now as of 6/7; but, allegedly on 6/14 they open the inside to the public
Thought I would do an update about everything! The place looks wonderful with it's new bar and light show. They are no longer open before 3pm but the taproom itself is open! It really seems like covid really brought the team behind wild leap together and it is a pleasure to watch how they work in harmony. Never have I seen a workplace full of so many genuine smiles; so genuine you can see it straight through the masks. This is the kind of place where you can come with your family, friends and even pets. They are extremely dog conscious and have dog bowls for water on demand; but, please be mindful of your dogs keep those pooches on a leash. Super recommend everyone check out the place...
