I've been in search of a decent pizza place, with good pizza AND good customer service staff. Actually something hard to find in the area despite the $20/hr starting pay for food workers.
The Pizza Hut in RSM closed down since it wasn't very good. I've been to 3 Dominos locations in the area and either my order was wrong or the customer service was seriously lacking. Sabintinos used to be good, but they started to seriously skimp and mostly crust on their pizza despite higher prices. And I've gone to Ballpark Pizza many times over the years, but they have messed up my order a handful of times due to the teenage staff.
I was excited to try Pizza 900 because of the good Yelp rating. And when I called in my order, they told me they were #1 in Orange County. I had high expectations. I called my order in 4 hours in advance so it would be ready when I arrived. I was surprised they were not very busy when I got there to pick up, considering they are supposed to be the best in the county.
Luckily I checked my order before leaving, because there were mushrooms added to my pizza, which I'm highly allergic to. How disappointing if I had driven 30 min home and then found the error. They re-made the pizza while I waited. It would have been a good customer service move to offer me a free fountain drink or cookie while I waited, since they have both, and I now had to wait for a do-over after calling in advance to make sure my order would be ready specifically so I would not have to wait. But no one bothered to offer me anything.
When I got home with the new pizza I quickly realized that the base wasn't strong enough to support the toppings. The crust is too thin and when you go to pick up a slice, all the toppings just slide right off. I had to end up eating the toppings with a fork off the box. Also the base (crust) had a lot of black on the bottom, and had a bad burned flavor. Sadly, the pizza was not good overall and I would not come here again.
The reason for still giving 3 stars is because the ingredients seemed fresh and the...

The pizza was fantastic. Neapolitan wood-fired pizza isn't my top style but I enjoy it, and Pizza 900 delivered. Fair pricing too. We tried a Margherita and a Pepperoni. The dough was phenomenal---a perfect cook, delicious taste, great texture. The sauce was fabulous and a standout. The foundation of the pie was absolutely nailed. The cheese was also high quality and delicious. The pepperoni was pretty good also, but definitely preferred the Margherita. Wish we'd ordered 2 of those. A legitimate 9/10 pie.
The service was good---very limited interaction but the cashier and waitress were plenty nice. It was decently crowded but the pizza didn't take too long to get.
The atmosphere was nothing particularly special, but zero complaints. A few TVs up on the wall with sports on, a good amount of seating including outdoors, clean, easy location to get to...certainly nothing to complain about. It definitely does the job.
Of the many wood-fired pies in OC I've had (with many still to go), only one has been better...and that one wasn't really "Neapolitan". I absolutely recommend stopping by here if you enjoy great pizza. Get the Margherita. Despite having many more places on my pizza journey to hit, I will return here, thrilled I live close. Again, a legitimate, no-doubt 9/10. Long...
Read moreDeliciously handcrafted pizza and flavorful toppings with damn near perfect sauce.
The donfather, has plenty of fixings on it that add to the different taste of the pizza... the meat is meaty, and full of flavor (not dry like some other pizzas)
The americano, has pepperoni added to the Margherita which compliments the Margherita flavor, the basil definitely adds to the flavor as the pizza as a whole compliments each and every flavor of each
The wings were definitely worth trying! The Frank's hot sauce (is the sauce pun intended) lol, the garlic sauce wings are a good calm wing if you didn't want to get crazy with anything.
The fries were also a really good item, mixed with a little bit of garlic the fries are a delicious addition to whichever meal you choose
The beer selection, even though small, is not your average beer, they are actually pretty damn good!
The seating area is plenty enough to where you can arrange tables for a large party and remain comfortable, everything is super clean and organized 👌
The hosts all help out and it doesn't seem like it's a bother to them (like some other restaurants) not to mention that they're pretty knowledgeable about their menu items.
Overall! DEFINITELY MUST STOP FOR PIZZA AND WINGS! and like they say you get what...
