Del Taco — Restaurant in Irvine

of all the del locations locally, this is my favorite. I'm usually late night pick up for me and 4 legged family : ) and having my order done right is appreciated. Jaheim is such an amazing person, friendly and always with a smile. I truly appreciated his taking the time the other day when I was tired and couldn't make up my mind. He was patient and kind.

Not wanting to misspell Jaheim's name I went back and Gianluca was super helpful and helped make sure I got it right. Loved his energy too. It must be a fun place to work and my family much appreciates the time and attention to our dinner.

Both times the quality was better than the other locations. Del is my go to for late bites so I've been to all the local ones, more than a time or two, or three. well, lets just say its a lot.

I had a couple errands in the area and stopped in for lunch in between them. I had an offer for a free Epic Burrito via the Del Taco app. I approached the kiosk/giant tablet to put my order in and begin filling out what I wanted. Unfortunately, like all the other stores that have installed these, it either freezes up or can't complete the order for some reason. Luckily the people working here are very friendly and willing to assist with getting it going. I received my food very quickly and proceeded to a table to do what most people do at lunch. My Epic Burrito (Cali) was large and delicious. Finished my meal and my drink and was ready to leave. Add I passed the kiosk on my way out, I noticed they put signs on them stating "out of order" on them. Another perfect and quick lunch...

Drive-thru is open late, which was very convenient for us. There was a line, but we went through it pretty quickly. Gave us plenty of napkins and utensils, and didn't go over the top with the number of sauce packets that they put into the bag.

Update: Apparently, my original review from Sept was still in my drafts. I'll update with this from a subsequent visit: We got a ridiculous amount of packets this time, and ONE (1) NAPKIN! WHAT USE IS ONE NAPKIN ON A $15 ORDER!?‽ Knocked down to 3 stars. Another update: Did a mobile order and got what were clearly OLD FRIES. Had to heat them up before I...
