Mollie's Country Kitchen — Restaurant in Laguna Niguel

Mollies was beyond amazing in every way!! I never write reviews but I had to the entire experience was so superb. The customer service was so excellent. The staff are incredibly friendly, happy and helpful. I had to charge my phone and they accommodated me without a second thought. Then they made accommodations so I could order everything I wanted. They were so nice. The food was amazing. Very fresh. I’ve never had a pancake as big and fluffy as the one here. Very good classic American and Mexican diner food. And I couldn’t believe the speed on top of all of it. I ordered then quickly went to the bathroom, when I came back my food was already waiting for me, nice and hot. I Wish I lived here so I could come here more often. I think everyone else agreed with me as they were very busy yet did a great job of handling the customers with ease and friendliness. This is a tough one to write since the food and portions are good and I will probably end up going back there again, eventually. They know their food is good as they've been around for some time. The service, hmm!!??, depends who you get. I think the fact is, the comfort and confidence they get from having a good food in a area where there are not that many good breakfast restaurants has impacted their behavior and attitude towards the customers. The almost callous attitude when large mistakes are made and being insensitive to the inconvenience it has caused the customer, was my last two visits experiences. I will try this place one more time and will add to this review the result of that. It's a shame, the food is good. FYI- we ended up eating a COLD $54 breakfast after all the mistakes were fixed and settled, not the best Sunday...

EXCELENT FOOD, also great lunch specials. Today I had a very generous slab of grilled salmon with a lovely garden salad on the side and vegetables, just $13. I can't buy the same size salmon for less in the grocery. Also, generous portions, I can only eat half of the meal, the rest is bagged up for tomorrows lunch. Breakfast here is a treat any day. My Mom and I call Mollie's, 'Home of the big food'. Lol, it is and the staff are always friendly and helpful. My only annoyance is, I wish they would paint their sign out front that just says, 'Mollie's'. t's red, but is so faded and dirty looking it is hardly readable. Sadly, it also gives this lovely cafe a poor and uncaring look that doesn't inspire, 'Welcome'. Luckily, all their regulars keep coming back to support them. Maybe one of them has a pint of red paint...
