Pokeworks — Restaurant in Laguna Niguel

I understand the economy is bad and inflation is real- however the price is ridiculous for the size! Too much for too little. The employee put really small scoops. I also think it’s silly they don’t have bigger portion options even if they cost more. There are only two sizes available. The taste is pretty good overall. Tuna was good. Salmon was good. The spicy tuna was odd because they don’t grind it up. I like the garlic crisps. Their house sauce is good. I will not come here again because it is a rip off. Second visit 06/30/24: after reading my review, the company gave me a voucher for a free entree. Since it was free food, I gave it another try. My opinion is unchanged. The portions are not good value for money. Also, there was difficulty redeeming the voucher. I showed it to the employee. She asked a more experienced employee how to redeem it. That employee then asked her manager. The manager was stumped. She just stood staring and didn’t make a decision. The experienced employee then decided they would “comp it and put the number in the note.” None of them had name tags. But they were the people working at 1:45pm. My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pokeworks, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

First, the freshness of the ingredients used in their dishes was truly impressive. Whether it was the succulent pieces of fish or the crisp, vibrant vegetables, everything tasted like it had just been harvested. As a fan of poke bowls, I couldn't have asked for a better quality of ingredients.

The service at Pokeworks was equally commendable. The staff was not only friendly but also knowledgeable about the menu. They patiently answered all of my questions and helped me customize my bowl to my liking. The ordering process was smooth, and my food was prepared promptly.

A standout feature of Pokeworks was their wide variety of toppings and sauces. We loved the fact that I could create our own unique poke bowl with a range of choices, making it a truly personalized dining experience.

The ambiance of the restaurant was clean, modern, and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.

The poke is fresh and delicious as always, but this was especially true since we had come today when it first opened, my mom and I. Nothing like too deliciously fresh and fried spam musubi rolls in the morning, would definitely do this again. We were greeted politely and service was exceptional from the time we got in up until the time we left. A big shout out to Kevin whom I know real well now and he was super awesome in customizing my bowl and making sure the spam musubi pieces were unwrapped and in the bowl, as those things can be very tedious for a blind person like myself to unwrap unless you have patience to be able to handle it so it doesn't fall out. Only thing is I really wish for other locations if I were to go to others, there would be instructions within the app but the food was really delicious and I enjoyed the new lava sauce and can't wait to try it again!
