Restaurante El Karacol — Restaurant in Lajas

I put 1 star because I can’t leave 0 stars… I’m from Puerto Rico and have been in La Parguera since I was a kid but never visited this place. After 20 years living in United State I finally came to try it because I heard a lot about it and they recommend it even when we were there asking for a good food in the area… We ordered 1 Stake taco, 1 Shrimp taco and an order is tostones and after 1 hour waiting because “they were too busy inside” (not an excuse) the stake had no flavor whatsoever, the shrimps from the tacos were cold from the fridge (like cocktail shrimps) and the tostones were full of grease. One of waitress came to me and asked me “Are you going to end up ordering or not? You can go if you want” What?????? And she decided that she didn’t want to take care of the table so she gave it to someone else (Very Nice girl!) DON’T WAIST YOUR...

I’ve been a loyal customer for a while, and every time I travel to PR, I make sure to visit this place. Unfortunately, my recent experience left me really disappointed. I asked the lady for less ice in my sangria because it was already very watered down, but she rudely told me they had a "instructions" to follow and couldn’t accommodate my request. I was shocked that such a simple request was denied. Sangrias here used to taste so much better, but now they’re just diluted with too much ice. It’s sad that something so minor could ruin my experience and make me not want to return. Customer service should be about flexibility and making guests feel welcome, but that was definitely not...

Muy mal el servicio. Nosotros los únicos en el restaurante y quedamos unos 10 minutos sin la persona atendernos para sentar. Más unos 20 para tomar la orden. No tienen la mitad del menú y te lo dicen 30 minutos después de ordenar. Y la comida regular, así que no vale la pena comer aquí.

Very bad service. We were the only ones in the place at lunch time and it took them at least 10 minutes to stop chatting and seat us although we were standing right in front of them. They don't have half the menu and didn't even tell us they didn't have something we ordered until 30 min after we ordered it. And at the end of the day the food was just normal, nothing special....
