I’ve been a loyal customer at Main Squeeze for a while now and usually love both the nachos and the Vision drink. I often spend around $24 on lunch here, and I like supporting a local small business.
Today, though, I left pretty disappointed. I normally ask for the nacho toppings on the side so the chips don’t get soggy by the time I get home. When I picked up my order, I was told by the staff (per the manager) that there is now a $3 charge just for putting toppings in separate containers. That caught me off guard. The nachos are already $11.99, and the extra fee felt steep for what amounts to small containers that cost pennies.
I completely understand that businesses have costs and need to make a profit, and I’d even be okay with paying a small upcharge (say $1) for the extra packaging and time. But $3 feels excessive and honestly left me questioning whether I want to continue coming back. It’s frustrating because I’ve been a consistent supporter, and this policy feels more like a penalty than a fair charge.
I hope management will reconsider this approach, because I do enjoy the food here. I just don’t want to feel nickel-and-dimed for...
Read moreToday was our first time trying it. I’ve been a dedicated fan to another local smoothie business but a friend of mine loves Main Squeeze. Figured I’d give them a shot. I am so glad I did!!!!!! The prices are cheaper, the sizes are bigger and the girl working was super nice and helpful. I ordered the Chocolate one and it was delish! It didn’t taste all chalky and needless to say, I only got about 2 sips out of it. My dad, who declined getting one at the time, decided it was good enough to steal lol. That gives me even more reason to go back now, though! The only cons I have is...I didn’t notice the calorie count on the menu (could of just over looked it) and the straws are a little too big and...
Read moreEver since enjoying their most amazing açai bowl, I order them everywhere I go (travel a lot), but have never found another location that even comes close to this amazing Lake Charles gem. Also, I find the best way to get the most out of the cold pressed juice is to take it first thing in the morning, or after exercise when the body is especially receptive to all of the amazing, raw, plant-based, cancer fighting anti oxidant compounds that are preserved through the coldpressed process. Been feeling great and healthy ever since they opened. Also glad that unlike many other places, their juice is made right on site to so it’s...
