I would rate lower than one star if I could. Our experience with this store was less than satisfactory. We ordered furniture in March 2021 and waited, and waited, and waited. If we did not check periodically to see if anything was in, I don't believe that we'd have ever known when an item did come in. Some did come, but it was a piece mill delivery. When we were down to the two final items, again having to contact them to find any information, we were told that one item was discontinued (nothing about that in the 3.5 months prior) and that the other piece was dropped and damaged and would take an additional several months to arrive. When we asked for a refund, we were told that it would take 4 to 6 WEEKS for a refund check to be issued, even though our check for the purchase was processed through our bank in less than one week. Perhaps I am old fashioned in that customer service was an important part of doing business and that when wrong, a business should go out of their way to satisfy the customer. Nothing like that will happen with this place, because I believe that the manager, Carl, is a very poor representative of the brand. He claims to "love his customers", but from my perspective as a customer, that is far from a true statement. I would not recommend to anyone that they shop...
Read moreMy wife and I purchased furniture from the Lake Charles La-Z-Boy and had an enjoyable experience when buying. We definitely thought this was a precursor for things to come....... Wrong we were. Supplier chains have been an issue for many things in the world and our furniture did take forever to come in, but this is out of their control and I recognize that. What is in their control is the communication between receiving the furniture which was non-existent. How about service after the sell you ask???? Here is some more good news, after not having the furniture for less than a year we have a mechanical issue with the reclining section of the couch. It took multiple phone calls to figure out they won't repair here in Lake Charles... no no no... they don't tell you at the store your coverage applies only if you pack up your couch bring it to Houston for repairs or you can pay to have someone fix it in your home. I didn't know lazy boy meant for both the furniture and the dust covered red carpet service you get after the sell. Dont waisted your time calling the store the manager is never there and no one else...
Read moreI was scheduled for surgery and needed a new recliner quickly. After researching internet, I called and spoke to Linda. She was very helpful in answering questions, but said should really come in to try out the recliners that I wanting info before purchasing. She explained that they had a floor model that was available for purchase and a couple more that were in the warehouse that could be gotten in before surgery. I liked the floor model but it was more than I wanted to pay. A manager heard me telling her this and pointed out that it had a swivel rocker on it that might not be good after surgery. They removed the swivel, replacing with the standard rocker, and another added price item so that I could reduce the price down $200. The chair was also on sale, so I got a $1300 chair for half the price. They were so helpful. I am sitting in my recliner recovering from my surgery. A...
