Where to start⊠TERRIBLE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Falafel had no discernible tahini, made with water and lemon juice. Tahini? Nowhere to be found. Hummus had no discernible tahini! See a pattern? Maybe tahini is too expensive to use? Spinach pie? Horrible. An oily cold brick. If phyllo dough was used then it should not be compacted into a stone-like material. Like chewing a tire. Kibbi was just to wrong to even attempt to describe. Undercooked, thick crust, incorrect spicesâŠsounds like my motherâs horrible pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving! LOL. The chicken and Doner meats were so dry, like petrified wood. Doner was over seasoned and I do not believe any lamb was used at all. The Grecian sauce (proper recipe: strained yogurt , cucumber, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs) was basically reduced fat water yogurt and Lillie else that I could tell. By the way, if you call it âthe white sauceâ you really have no idea what itâs MEANT to taste like. YOU should be forbidden to review this cuisine (thatâs food to you). I may have just expected something else, something good. Isnât Lake Charles tired of all these Cajun Lebanese âMiddle-Easternâ restaurants??!! One thing I know for sure, no oneâs mother or wife born and raised in Turkey, Greece, or Lebanon would ever eat here or really anywhere here in Lake Charles. Shame on the customers who have no idea what good food tastes like and shame on you so-called âchefsâ for serving this...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went here this week to give the new local Mediterranean place a try, but we weren't really impressed. I don't care too much about a place's atmosphere, but this place was giving hospital vibes with its plain, unadorned white walls and white tables. It's more of a café-style place where you order at the counter than a sit down restaurant with a waiter, which was kind of disappointing. The staff were all really polite and welcoming - 5 stars there. The food though... with all the good Mediterranean food in the area, this place might struggle. The chicken shawarma had good flavor, but it was so dry it reminded me of turkey. The kibbie was ok, but all the flavor was in this paste that wasn't mixed into the meat. The beef itself wasn't flavorful. The falafel was overdone. My fiancé got Alfredo which was not good. First, the sauce wasn't authentic and second, it tasted like it came from a jar. The pasta came out so quickly it was obvious it wasn't cooked to order. I guess that's fine if you don't want freshly made food and just want it quickly. The Lebanese iced tea was waaay too sweet. I was excited to see tiramisu until I found out it was frozen. Their margaritas are gross. The prices are high for what you get. There are better Mediterranean places in...
Read moreThis place was soooo delicious 10/10. I am not one to usually finish my plate at a restaurant but I finished the entire thing and scraped my plate clean it was that good. The potion size was great! The hummus was super smooth. The white sauce that came with the wrap was phenomenal. The chicken and the lamb were very flavorful and there was no gamey taste to the lamb. My wrap came out piping hot too. I would definitely go back and recommend to others.
The service was really good. The employees came to our table a few times to check in on us. They were super friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is the atmosphere is a little sterile feeling and the water tasted weird. That will not deter me from coming back when able. This is easily my new favorite restaurant on Nelson road. I hope it lasts as the location is a little...
