We decided to try McAlisters since we hadn't eaten there in years. It was 12:30 and the restaurant had maybe 20 people seated and eating. We were near the counter looking over the menu when we were approached by an employee that informed us that our order would take 30 to 40 minutes because they were running behind! We looked at him, the 2 people in back kitchen and the absence of anyone in front or behind us! There also wasn't a single vehicle in the drive thru! That employee statement told us that they had no desire for us, or anyone else, to eat there! Which we didn't! We opted for Jason's Deli where the food and service is exceptionally grand and their people happily greet you with a genuine desire to serve! We will never visit McAlisters again!
4-6-24 Responding to the "owner". I doubt very seriously that you're the owner of McCalisters. Manager? Maybe. Since you apparently have little to no experience in dealing with customers that have an unfavorable experience at your restaurant. Your response to our experience is to resort to name calling. That shows 2 things. Inexperience and ignorance. If you were a professional you would have dealt with the problem and sought to turn an unsatisfied customer into a lifetime customer. We were there at the lunch hour and I can't even imagine what our wait time would have been had the place been packed. Given your excuse a "mountain of mobile orders". They obviously have precedence over any walk ins. No problem! Jason's Deli is literally a 2 minute drive from McCalisters. Within 10 minutes at a packed Jason's we placed our order, and sat down to a delicious, wholesome, wonderful meal served by smiling genuinely happy wait staff. Give Jason's a try Mr. Owner and see how a professional successful...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. We went on a Tuesday around 3 and there was hardly anybody in there. 4 of us ordered sandwiches with soups, another ordered one of the spuds. Within 5 minutes of placing the order, they brought out the pulled pork spud and you could 100% tell it was just thrown together as quickly as possible without any regards to presentation. Half the pulled pork was off of the potato, the garnish was somehow underneath the pork that happened to be on the potato, the center was still hard and cold, and the potato was insanely dry. It took 40 minutes of my mother going up there twice for them to finally bring out our sandwiches to which you could easily tell were just thrown together as quickly as possible. My sandwich had honey mustard all over it making it extremely messy to eat. My mom and step dad ordered clubs that didn’t even have toothpicks in it so the sandwich pieces were scattered. What made it bad, was how terrible the food was. For $15, this was the most poorly made, store bought ingredient sandwich I have ever had. The sandwich was cold, cheese wasn’t even melted. The honey mustard literally tasted like honey mustard you would get from McDonald’s. The ciabatta bread was very dry. The meat and cheese had no special flavor to it. The sandwiches I made for my family were 1000 times better than these and It was my first time trying to make a good sandwich. Major let down, and if you want to spend $15 on a sandwich, I would say spend your time going to...
Read moreI placed an online order Saturday, 7/2/22 at 4:45 pm, the order said it would be ready by 5. When I got to the restaurant, there was a handwritten sign on the door saying that due to no staff, they were closed. The employee at the door let me in when I told her I had placed an online order. While I was waiting for the manager, I noted at least 3 employees in the kitchen, 2 employees at the drive thru, 2 front employees and the manager. For whatever reason, that apparently wasn’t enough people to take care of my order. She explained that I must’ve placed my order after they closed the kitchen (mind you, I had placed the order 15 min ago). But no one thought to call me and let me know they would cancel my order and issue a refund? What about any other people after me, who also placed online orders? Meanwhile, the 2 drive thru employees were chatting with someone in the drive thru window, and the person loudly said BI*, causing me to look straight at her, and all the employees turned and looked back at me, because they recognized that I, a customer, just witnessed this loud disrespectful conversation. Oh, and there was one person inside eating CHURCHS CHICKEN at a table… The manager finally showed up at the register to issue the refund. The only reason they get 2 stars, is because the girl that was at the front had to have a lot of patience to turn people away and deal with the other couple of customers eating inside. I really wish I was joking… needless to say I will not...
