Update- It's ok. Still kind of hit and miss at times. I usually just stick to one thing when I find it's consistent in quality. It's an ok place in my opinion. Not the best and not the worst. I still do eat here from time to time. It's just definitely not my "go to" place.
I've eaten here a number of times. It's always hit and miss. The food is typically bland in my opinion. Today? It was unacceptable.(my order) It was cold. Not as in sitting on the counter top cold. Cold as in still frozen cold. Parts of it were at least. The first thing I ordered they were out of. I understand. Sometimes it happens. The second thing I ordered they were not out of, but they had to make more. I was fine with choosing something else. The waitress was very kind, and did her job well. However, the people in the kitchen must have not been happy about making more. When it arrived it was crunchy and cold. Needless to say I did not eat it.
Your waitress is what got you two stars instead of one. With her being very kind and trying her best to help. She could only do so much. I made sure she knew I was not upset with her. Read moreLast night, we had a reservation for 6 adults and 2 children, with an arrival scheduled for 7:30 PM. The table was ready, everything was going well. Around 7:45/50 PM, the drinks arrived and the orders were taken. The dishes arrived quickly and the meal was quite good. Up until then, the experience at this restaurant was going perfectly... At 8:25 PM, our waitress brought us the bills while we were still eating, without us having asked for them. She then insisted on providing us with boxes to take the leftovers, even when we asked her if the restaurant was closing. She told us no, the restaurant was closing an hour later. We then explained that we wanted to finish eating peacefully, but she brought the boxes anyway. I asked for my drink to be refilled, and she asked me if I wanted it to go... again. I explained no... In short, this waitress made us extremely uncomfortable by pressuring us to leave the restaurant when it wasn't closing immediately. Her overall behavior (eye-rolling, sighing, annoyance) was very out of place! I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. We arrived at 4:30 and were seated. Rachel, who normally waits on us has moved into management. So happy for her, but that meant having a new server learn our routine. Charlie was up for the challenge and stepped up and engage in a meaningful conversation to get to know us. He was very attentive and we didn't feel rushed through our meal. When a restaurant has an efficient staff, more than likely it’s operating seamlessly and effortlessly, even during a big rush.
Thomas (manager on) and Rachel (manager in training) stopped by each table to visit with each customer. I have found that when customers feel recognized, they feel more comfortable. When servers can get to know regulars by name and establish a relationship with them, it's a win-win for everyone.
