SushiBoxx — Restaurant in Lake Charles

Giving a 4 mostly based on the food but the service is just okay at best.

Location: near the country club kroger in a separate shopping center lot. Shares parking with other businesses. Easy to find by GPS, otherwise you might pass it without realizing.

Atmosphere: open, small eating area. All tables or bar height chairs. Been twice and it was pretty dead inside; seems like a lot of ppl do to-go. You order at the counter & go seat yourself. No table service.

Service: kinda dull. Seem very bored. Very little interaction other than placing order & bringing out food.

Food: dine in & to-go options. Many different sushi rolls to pick from. They also have a few appetizers (i.e. spring rolls, etc.). Most rolls seem to run $9-12. Drinks are sold separately (no fountain drinks, only bottles/cans). I like their skinny roll with spicy mayo & eel sauce. I feel you get your money's worth for portion size.

I had been eyeing this place since I first noticed the store front. I decided to try them out today and I have to pat myself on the back for making such a wonderful decision.

Immediately upon walking in, I was greeted by the staff. I had already ordered my meal online, but still the staff ran me through some of their options and now I have ideas on what I will try next time...and there will definitely be a next time.

The sushi was amazing. I am no culinary expert, so I can only really say that the flavors were everything I needed them to be. The food was hot and fresh. My only gripe was I ate it too quickly and I was left wanting more.

Sushi Boxx is one of the best sushi restaurants in Lake Charles. The ingredients are always fresh, the rolls are packed with flavor, and everything is beautifully presented. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it perfect for both casual lunches and date nights.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and always willing to make great recommendations. I highly recommend trying the Boxx Special Roll or anything from their chef’s specialty list. You can tell they put real care into every dish they serve.
