Five Guys — Restaurant in Lake City

From the moment you walk in, you know this is going to be an exceptional 5 Guys experience. The location is clean, orderly, spotless, restrooms, and the team is excited that you’re there. Brandon quickly and efficiently took my order. Watching Shaun prepare our single cheese with mustard, ketchup, extra pickles, and extra onions was like watching a chess player carefully move the pieces around the board. Everything was exacting and perfect. Might I say the taste and the sandwich reflected Shaun’s hard work. Oh, you say it’s just a hamburger. Sure, but it’s one of the best. Watching Oscar prepare our fries with the secret five guys double fry technique. Oh, and that extra shovelful they dump inside each bag. Oscar, have you been reading my diary? I love those fries. Are we pleased? Yes. This is by far one of the best 5 Guys in the entire chain. What a friendly place! We were greeted with loud, mirthful, happy greetings. Then our order was taken by a friendly, efficient cashier. We didn’t have to wait long for our number to be called. It wasn’t overly busy.

More fries than we both could eat - and it was a small order! They were so good, too. The burgers weren’t mashed down. They were still juicy. They were prepared exactly as requested. The restaurant was clean, bright, and we had our choice of tables.

Only one of the drink machines was working. They also had freshly brewed ice tea available. The Sprite Zero didn’t taste right. Nor did the Coke Zero. The mix was off. Too much seltzer. Told the manager who was willing to take it for a test run. He fixed the other machine, and then worked on the malfunctioning run. Told us it had something to do with the nozzle. Now...

This was the best hamburger I ever ate. My wife and I stopped here after finishing our Christmas shopping. It was the middle of the afternoon, so it was nice and quiet 😀. We ordered a hamburger and small fries to share. We asked for the burger "all the way". When they showed us all the options we were amazed! We got everything but BBQ sauce. They even cut it in two for us. While we waited we ate free peanuts....yum! The burger and fries arrived and both of us were so happy with all the flavors. The fries were delicious. It's a good thing we don't live close or we would end up terribly overweight from eating so many of these delicious burgers!
