I have had to change a previous 4 1/2 star review to a 2 star. I am very disappointed in this Longhorn and we have gone here since it first opened. We where here on Sunday August 28th, between 2-4pm. We were taken care of by the hostess quickly and there was no problems there. There were only 2 occupied tables next to the bar area where we were seated. The rest of the restaurant had 3 occupied tables. We waited about 8-11 minutes before anyone came to our table. Our server, Martha was nice and polite enough she just was NOT a good server. We ordered our drinks and my husband was not ready to order for the meal. She stayed there to wait for him, told him to take his time. Just take the hint to go put our drink orders in and come back to take our dinner orders. So we ordered our drinks and dinners. When I ordered the Great American Steak Dinner, I ordered an appetizer and she said "we might be out of that" and I was like okay are you out of it. I get a duh look and I said so I should order something else, what I was thinking was "can't you check if you are out or not out". So I ordered something else since she wasn't inclined to go check if they are out of an appetizer. As part of my meal I ordered a salad. Our server was walking around a lot but empty handed. She comes over and tells me that my salad should be coming up soon, this was 10 minutes after we ordered. So, I am waiting. I decided to go to the bathroom and I am still waiting another 10 minutes. AGAIN, this was during an off time and there wasn't that many tables. So I watched, one of the tables by us knew a lot of the servers. Sure enough most of the servers kept going over to visit with these people. They were talking about other servers and what former servers were doing. I can see visiting as it wasn't that busy. So about 22-24 minutes after initially ordering I get my salad. I got up to do something and our dinners were served. I asked my husband if they offered any steak sauce or anything. He was like no. She didn't stop by to check on us either. So when I get up to take our child to the bathroom I can see why she hasn't been by. She and another server are over in the mostly empty part of the restaurant talking. We had to request the dessert that came with the 3 course meal that was ordered. We also requested our check since it never was brought out after the dessert. My husband had to remind her AGAIN for the check and she asked if we wanted drinks to go when she brought the check. My husband said yes. So when she brings us our check and even after she takes it and comes back with it after paying, no drink to go. I asked my husband if he still wanted his drink to go and he was like forget it. Our server Martha seemed nice enough but she was just not a very good server. We have never had such horrible service at Longhorn and this location has always been good. It wasn't just her we noticed the other server that day seemed to be more into visiting with each other and tables of friends. It wouldn't be bad if they could also do their job. I had previously rated this restaurant at a around 4+ stars. The food was great as usual, even the salad that took 20+ minutes to be brought out. However, bad service can distract from the good food. Tried again on 7-21-2018 Most of the meals were good and hoe they ordered it. I specifically asked if their lobster & shrimp chowder was the white cream or the reddish type. I was told white. I also asked if it had corn in it. I was told no. Yes yes it is not the white kind and yes it has corn. I also asked for not tomatoes and got tomatoes. I have allergies to corn and tomatoes. Spending my time sick to my stomach or having food go through me is not enjoyable. Your servers should know the difference between the chowders. I won't male that mistake again.

Do not go here! We have eaten here before and it used to be good. Our dinner this time didn’t start off well and went down hill from there. Our son ordered a Mr Pibb and the mix was off, there was a hair on my salad bowl, it took a long time to get some bread, the sweet tea was very different from one refill to the next and then our steaks. We ordered two filets, 6 oz and 9 oz, medium-rare. The steaks came out medium. My plate had greasy finger prints all around the edges, our son ordered chicken strips and there was some unknown streaks of food on his plate that did not belong to the chicken strips or mashed potatoes. When we got our waitress Sara to come by and check the steaks, which she never asked if they were cooked correctly (should happen for every steak plated at a steakhouse), she told us her last table had the same issue and she had hoped it wouldn’t happen to us. The steaks were also very grainy. She offered to get new steaks cooked but it was already late and so we asked for a discount, which she did get. She then commented on how she worked a different place in Gainesville and was trained better, when I mentioned the grease prints on my plate, and that this particular restaurant was very lax in their presentations and food. We told her we were not pleased and would not be coming back, not once did we see the manager. She never asked if we would like a dessert or to go cups for the tea refills she had brought out. Just put our check on the table and said she would run the card when we were ready. My husband went to the men’s room and it was filthy. For the amount of money this restaurant charges for their food, the service, food and restrooms should all be top notch. Next time we will wait the 40 minutes to get a table at Texas Roadhouse. Whoever was the manager on duty for the night of 3/14/21, you really should find another business to be in.

I visited Longhorn Steakhouse in Lake City this past Thursday and had a great experience! As we walked in, the hostess’ opened the doors for us, and welcomed us with a smile. There were four of us and we were seated right away (even though it was prime dinner time). Our table was very clean. The waitress immediately walked over with a plate of bread and requested our drink orders. She returned in a timely fashion with our drinks and requested our entree orders. She was very helpful, and patient as we chose our entree and sides. She even made a suggestion for what appetizer to order. We all ordered steaks, and they were out in less than 30 minutes. I hadn’t even gotten done with my salad when all of them came out. Even though it was fast, each steak was cooked to our satisfaction, and the sides were delicious as well! The presentation of the food was professional and appealing. If you’re looking for reasonably priced appetizers, drinks, steaks and sides Longhorn is the place for you. I highly recommend the sirloin steak, and spicy chicken bites for an appetizer. Great flavor in both dishes! The establishment in Lake City is clean, fast, and has a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Longhorn is a great place for a date night, or any family occasion!

As always, a lovely restaurant with its Old West Texas ranch themed decor. Let me preface what is a far more critical review than I typically give anywhere by saying that our party was large, and no doubts about it, a challenging group. Nine people in our party, one small child, one wheelchair occupant, one with a cane, and one with a service dog and one with food allergies. However, bulk of our party we arrived well ater the lunch rush... About 1:30, with final members about 1:4. The host polite, but not congenial in greeting and seating a large party, especially a group with diverse or complicated needs.

No handicapped parking spaces available. But we were able to park reasonably close to utilize sloped access. It didn't really get better from there. We told the host AND server we were still waiting on some of our party to arrive and would order at that time. In the first 10-15 minutes the server was at the table at least ten times, drinks, bread...asking about food orders multiple times, well before final members arrived and again within a minute of providing the newcomers with menus.

I had the distinct feeling she was exasperated by our inability to decide on appetizers and multiple questions regarding ingredients because one of our party has allergies.. She finally said she would give us a few minutes, and then disappeared. We didn't get to order the appetizers we decided on as when she finally returned more than 10 minutes had passed and we just went ahead with ordering entrees.

From that point forward the server was absent more than present...out of luck if you run out of beverage. Two of our party had alcoholic beverages...one each, because the server never came back to see if additional drinks were desired. . Cups were completely emptied, and only one of our party was offered or received a refill. Out of nine orders, parmesan chicken and a child's steak cooked well done as requested. Tbone was correctly received as rare, but with incorrect side. One burger order was correct, well done, side of fries, hard, obviously had been sitting in warmer too long. .Another burger order, also well done, but came out turning the bun red with blood in its both rare, and not even thoroughly heated state...ground beef. Raw? No server, so make do, try to eat. Two sirloins, one 6 oz, and one 8 were both well done, having been requested medium rare and medium. Two sides of Brussel Sprouts that were ordered at extra cost were literally blackened to almost ash on outer leaves, and saturated with so much of whatever the black sweet sauce was supposed to be...the bowl had as much of the sauce as it did sprouts. The server did not stick around nor return in timely manner to see if orders were correct or if anything else was needed. One salad with ranch barely had dressing, and another was drowned in it. Additional dressing was brought out. Near the end of our meals, one refill was offered, as she removed plates. No desserts were asked about or offered and she asked how to divide checks as she was, her words, "about to leave".

The place was relatively empty, and by time we left just after three, all but one handicapped space was still occupied. The women's restroom was not navigable by the wheelchair bound member of our party, required assistance with doors, and did not find handicapped stall to be completely safe and usable without assistance. The main sink was covered in water and excess soap when we arrived, and 1.5 hours later, had not been corrected. Trash also spilling onto floor from bin remained. Don't know what the rest of the staff was doing, but it was not cleaning, preparing for dinner service or waiting on customers present. Despite these challenges, we tipped well.

For what was intended a birthday celebration with out of town family at a favorite restaurant, we left slightly disappointed and a distinctly bad taste in our mouths. This is a good steakhouse chain as chains go, but far too expensive for dismal service, incorrect and...

I wish I could give 0 stars. Worst birthday dinner ever. We went here to eat dinner for my birthday and it was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant in the entire 39 years I have been on this planet. First I called earlier to let them know we would have 15-20 people coming between 5 and 5:30. I was informed that they do not do reservations. We all arrived about 5:15 pm and they had pushed tables together that only fit 16 people. When I asked for another table to be added they said that they couldn't do that but the rest of my guest could just utilize the booths behind me even though there were additional tables that were empty. We had 2 servers that proceeded to start getting drink orders and bread. It took us 2 hours to get our food. During this 2 hour we sat there with nothing but ice in our glasses and when we did see our servers and ask for refills they would say they would be right back and then disappear again. They were also set additional tables which I don't understand, if they couldn't even take care of one table between the 2 of them. When our food was finally ready we got our appetizers at the same time we got our salads and then the main course came out like maybe 5 minutes later. 4 of the people at our table didn't even receive their meal until after the rest of us were done eating. The trend of dry glasses continued all the way till after the meal. When it came time to get our checks the waitress had divided them all incorrectly. We waited an additional 40 minutes waiting on her to correct them and once again she disappeared. At this point it was 8:45 pm and we had children to get home for school the next morning si we finally just paid the tickes she handed us and left. The guy that was managing that night knew she was having problems and he did nothing to try to help the situation. It looked like the girl was possibly training a new employee that was the 2nd waitress and I don't feel like she was a strong enough server to be training someone else. We definitely will not be ever having another event there again. Aside from all the other issues they do not do anything to try to make your experience special or when you ask for certain things like in additional table they Tell you know that 4 of your party has to sit in a booth. If we were gonna do that we would have just gone to Texas Roadhouse where the service is impeccable. So thank you longhorn for making my birthday celebration one I will definitely...
