I arrived on Saturday night 3/13/21 about an hour before they closed. Sat down to have dinner with my young sons. The server was decent at first. I kinda felt he was a bit quick in his delivery with everything but decent nonetheless. The issue happened when he didn't place my order right. I ordered the seafood alfredo which should of had scallops and shrimp. The meal only came out with shrimp. So because I didn't see him at the time I told another server, so when he brought the scallops out he plop them on my plateš and blamed the mistake on there being a " new guy" in the kitchen. I use to be a Hostess, server, bartender and Restaurant manager for years. I know that trick š. Okay fine but then he was like rushing us to eat by coming to grab plates before we were even done eating and he kept walking by every minute or 2 and so I finally said " I mean is your shift over or do you have some where to be?" He was like " oh, well no but we do close at 11 and I just wanna help my friends clean and stuff that's all". What?šš I mean I still hadn't drunk my wine I still had salad and pasta left on my plate. My son still had pasta and broccoli on his plate. So I got the manager Beth what the policy or rule was in regards to leaving when the restaurant closed. Because my thinking was that we got there in plenty of time to sit and have a meal and had he not messed up on the order maybe it would not have taken so long but regardless we're paying customers and shouldn't be rushed to eat and leave. She was super apologetic and stated that of course they close at 11 but they just lock the doors and there was no rush for me to leave. She did what any manager would do in that moment and offered more food and dessert, which was all nice but I really just wanted the server to stop walking by my table and let me and my kids eat and to be able to finish my wine. I didn't ask for any comps or any free meals I just wanted her to know the experience I was having with my kids. She eventually came back with a $20 gift card to Any Olive Garden and of course apologized again. So Kodos to the Manager Beth. As far as the server maybe it was just a big learning moment for him. Hopefully he'll learn to read the energy at the table better and take a little bit more time in how he handles his future customers. He was okay otherwise and I still left a 20% tip. 𤪠Thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe eat at Olive Garden a lot. Foods delicious, customer service is usually welcoming, atmosphere is calming. Last night was a special dinner for us. Considering my husband will be away for work for the next few weeks it was our last dinner together for a while. We were seated fairly quickly with no wait. Our waitress A came for our drink order. Those came fast. We put our order in along with our appetizer. We had to ask another waiter for straws. Then our waitress brings our soups and salad out along with bread and our app. While we are in the middle of eating those she then brings out our main dishes. She tries setting all of that food onto our table without removing old dishes. I had to ask for containers to go to put our remaining soups in which because it was HOT we hadnāt even eaten half of it. We had to throw the salad away bc it would have been soggy. Soups I placed into to go bowls and we began eating our food. My son had asked for more bread and a refill. She said of course and began walking away as my daughter tried asking for a refill and we caught her rolling her eyes as she walked away. At that point we were ready to go. We got to go containers for our food, a to go drink for my daughter and I placed the food into our to go boxes. We always tip 20-25% and always clean and organize our table. This entire experience we felt rushed and like we were an inconvenience. Completely unexpected from this type of restaurant and considering our bill was almost $140 for mediocre service. Please send her to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family took me here because they have had delicious food the last few times they've gone. However, this time I went, maybe it was off day I don't know but the food was not good at all. The breadsticks and soups were good, but the endless salad came to our table warm and it looked like the salad dressing was mixed with the water that wasn't drained after rinsing the lettuce. I ended up getting sick from the salad later that night.
My pasta which was the carbonara (chicken and shrimp) lacked flavor and I got one tiny piece of chicken that was cut into 2. It was probably 1/2in thick and 2.5in long so might as well just called it a carbonara without protein.
The chicken Alfredo tasted like nothing. If water could be thickened and used as a sauce on its own that's what the Alfredo tasted like. Even adding salt didn't help. On top of that we added broccoli to the pasta and it was $5 for one floret of broccoli, cut into slices. What a ripoff.
The only edible dish was the tortellini.
The only thing that was good was the zupa Toscana and breadsticks but overall everything was overpriced, lacked flavor, and was beyond mediocre.
Our server was attentive and great but whoever was working in the kitchen either didn't know how to cook or the food quality has just bombed. Won't be going back here...
