My wife and I finally found time to go out without work getting in the way, she had not ate at a ruby Tuesday before, so I decided to take her there, the salad bar was great, the half and half tea's were good, the blue cocktail that I don't recall the name of she really liked it. The trio appetizer was okay, two out of three items, cheese sticks and potato skins were spot on but the chicken bites were overcooked.
Now the bad news, I ordered a long island ice tea, it came to me as a Hawaiian iced tea, ( the one with pineapple rum) there is several variations of the ice tea, however I asked for long island. That's not the problem, the problem was the waiter, as I asked him twice if he was sure it was a long island, giving him the chance to just make it right than became, he reply of ( I have been drinking for 35 years and I know what a long island tea is.) That's why he received a less than $8 tip. My wife I have not given a tip less then $20 nor more then $100 at any place of business in over 20 years. And all lake city restaurants can say so as they all have at least one or more waitresses who member us. And I Dixie county as well as Hillsborough county,
Now the worst news. Oh my Jesus, two steaks, one ribeye, one t-bone.
I asked for Rare, she asked for medium. She got rare I received well-done.
We tried just switching with each other, however both seemed to be the same as when you take a bite they pull the moisture out of your mouth, the waiter did ask to take them back for corrections however I felt that at this point it's just not worth the hassle, I realize that's there probably a group of kids some where between 25 and 42 just waiting for that vape break of whatever liquid they use but I'm too old and worked to hard to waste my time and money on expensive ( over prices for no reason) things.
I know the more I write the more I get upset again think how the world has changed.
But yes great tea and great salad bar. Would recommend both tea and...

Read moreWhere do I begin? The salad bar was in disarray. It looked like some teenagers just had a food fight up there. The lettuce was brown. The pasta salad tasted like someone mistakenly dumped a box of salt into it. The croutons that I got were soft like milk toast. We got the hamburger and fries and the salad bar on a Thursday night, and the french fries were raw. We asked for some cooked fries, and they obliged us and brought us some promptly. The Smashburger that I had tasted Okay, but was a little greasy and the red onion on it was so strong that I had to pull it off of the sandwich. We ordered the two cookie dessert, and after fifteen minutes of waiting, the waitress came and notified us that the cookies were not available and had just been put into the oven and it was going to take In additional twenty minutes of wait time, so we changed our selection of dessert. I've had better service at truck stops and I'm not saying that truck stops give bad service. It's just I can't think of anything more negative to say. The fabric in some of the booths were ripped and the carpet on the floor was black and I originally thought it was a carpet runner, but closer examination revealed that it was some sort of long term grease build up and dirt on the floor...I have enclosed photos. Oh, and our...
