On Sunday, September 10th, 2017. My Mother wanted to order a Pizza. This was during the time when Irma was heading up the west side of Florida.
Since Papa Johns was opened, she decided to go ahead and order two large pizzas with the works. She order two large pizzas with the works over the phone and the employee that took her order said that it would be around $28.00.
Even though this is priced a little high, she figured that due to the quality that those commercials advertise about everything being real, this might be worth it, if, and only if they lived up to their television advertisements.
When we purchased the pizzas, we were disappointed to find out that these two pizzas were pepperoni and cheese. A couple of days had passed and slowly all businesses were opening back up from being closed due to the storm.
Tuesday afternoon, Mom decided to give Papa Johns a call. She asked a simple question. How much are two pepperoni and cheese pizzas? The lady said that they were $28.00.
She then asked how much are two large pizzas with everything? The employee on the other end gave her the same price that was quoted earlier for just a couple of pepperoni and cheese pizzas.
This doesn't sound like a good way to do good business. I'm thinking about calling the...
Read moreCalled in to place a delivery order after checking in to my hotel. My delivery order was taken by, Iâm assuming, a call center, and my card was charged for $26 and some change. I was told it would be delivered within 21-33 minutes. After waiting 45 minutes I called back to the same number and it said the store was closed. I googled and found a customer service number to call and was told my order was voided AND it would be delivered in 27 minutes. Called again 30 minutes later and was given the exact same message âyour order has been voided and will be delivered in 27 minutesâ
Needless to say, it was never delivered and I was charged. I was not made aware by text, call, or email that it would not be delivered. Unfortunately, I really liked papa Johnâs before this, but I will never support them again and I will certainly not recommend them to anyone going forward, especially the Lake City, Florida location.
All they needed to do was reach out to me and tell me it was voided - they had all of my info, but chose not to give me a heads up.
TLDR:...

I asked if I should pick it up or if they had deliveries running. I was assured delivery in 24-34 mins An hour later doordash calls said they have been knocking on the door to Papa Johnâs and no one will answer. I called the store and informed them that door dash was there. The girl said yeah I know but we canceled your order. I asked why wasnât I called. She said they didnât have my number because I called door dash. I told her I called the store thatâs how I have your number. She then told me that they called door dash because they didnât have a driver. So again why wouldnât you tell me. You have my number⊠thatâs why you picked up you saw my number. She said well thereâs nothing we can do about it now. I had to call the door dash driver that I didnât hire to let him know or he would still be knocking.
Oh well bet their pizza was as good as their work ethic Probably...
