Silva's — Restaurant in Lake Dallas

It's no secret to those that know me....I am in search of the Best Burger. So it wasn't a surprise when my friends wanted to go to a Burger place for my Birthday. Who would've EVER guessed a little town on Lake Lewisville would end my search. I have finally found the Best Burger. A small family owned restaurant on the corner of Lake Dallas Dr. & Carlisle in Lake Dallas serving up Tamales, Tacos and Crazy Good Burger! Starting with a sesame seed bun of perfect texture, mayo, mustard, deliciously cooked flavorful beef, america cheese, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onion & pickles. I had fried jalapeños with a side of ranch which was a perfect complement, but also tried the fries and fried mushrooms which were also wonderful. PLUS a Cheeseburger is only $4.99! I give Silva's in Lake Dallas 5 out of 5...

Another hidden gem in Lake Dallas. So much better than standard fast food restaurants. You know how the pictures of food look so good but then you get the item and it doesn't look at all like the picture? Silva's actual food looks like the pictures. Really good, fresh and tasty. My favorite burger is the green chili cheese burger - it's awesome. Their onion rings are also really good as are the fried jalepenos (sliced jalepenos with a coating and deep fried). I've been there several times and it has consistently been great - excellent quality food, fresh, hot and tasty. About the same price as fast-food but so much better. This is not a sit down and be waited on type of restaurant, even though their prices are along those lines. You order at the counter and pick it up there. Chips and salsa cost extra and the salsa tastes like it is out of a jar. I am giving a 1 star because the only thing that was worth eating was the guac. The guac was amazing! We ordered a crunchy beef taco, beef nachos, fried mushrooms, chips and salsa and guac, and the chicken fried steak sandwich. The beef nachos and taco tasted like they just crumbled a hamburger up and served it, absolutely no seasoning or flavor. The chicken fried steak had no seasoning or flavor either.
