Could not give zero stars, or negative stars! Do not eat here! Health warning! My wife and I both got food poisoning after eating here.
First clue: The Salsa Bar looked like it hasn't seen fresh food for a week. Needles to say, we did not have anything from there.
Second clue: While waiting for our order, I made small talk with the cashier, asking how their food compared to the one across the way. She stuttered and tried to evade the question, then told us that, to tell the truth, when she and her husband go out, they never eat mexican food, so she never tried it. I thought that it sounded a little odd, for a hispanic woman, working at a mexican restaraunt.
Third clue: Our order got screwed up (it happens). Cashier was accomodating and provided us missing items, no extra charge. (positive for her)
Fourth clue: Before we left, on checking our to-go order, found the food was COLD to the touch. Not even warm. Both orders. After waiting for them to cook it, and hearing a lot of clanging in the kitchen, we wondered what they could have been doing in there. No problem, we were going home and could nuke it there. Still, How could they serve it that way? Was it safe? Did they think it wouldn't be noticed? That we would think it got cold on the way home?
Fifth clue: my wife's carne asada burrito had no meat, only rice and beans and pico de gallo.
My cheese enchilada was good, the beans ok, but the rice tasted strange, and the bottom fell out of the beef taco, and the taco meat tasted peculiar.
My wife didn't have the stomach to eat it, and, after a few bites, threw it out. She still ended up with stomach cramps, and extended throne time. I stuck it out, and ate it all. Big mistake. Twenty minutes later I ran, hoping to make it to the throne myself, then spent a half hour, unable to leave.
Do Not eat here. I never...
Read moreWent in to buy a couple breakfast burritos (first time here) and I ordered an horchata for my fiance and I, we taste the horchata and it's disgusting, it tastes like poison honestly, so we decide to dump it and get sprite, and the guy at the counter asks me "you ordered an horchata right?" I replied with "yeah, why?" and he said "that's not right" and shook his head at me simply replacing the gross drink that I paid for with a drink we could actually enjoy, then he said that "they don't offer refills" and they have a sign there saying that, to which I responded "why have the machine out here if you don't allow refills? But fine, I'll pay for the drink." I waited in line and looked all around where he claimed they have a sign saying no refills, the only sign in sight said "water cups are not for soda. If you get a water cup you are not allowed free soda." I don't remember that word for word but that's the general idea, so I said to him "actually you have no sign here saying no refills, and because I bought the drink anyways, I'm not gonna pay for it again." and we got our food and left. Never going back, I haven't even eaten my food 30 minutes later writing this because that interaction upset me and my fiance more than enough. First time I've gone to eat somewhere and was openly and OUT LOUD in front of every other customer harassed by a worker. Terrible...
Read moreWe found our new taco spot! We live Menifee & won't have to drive so far for a decent taco anymore. We have tried it before, but it was delivered to our home.
The al pastor was ok but, like I said, it was delivered to Menifee and with traffic, we decided to drive & try it fresh.
My wife had the shredded chicken tostada salad bowl, she loved it, I had a torta de asada with the pickled carrots and onions with jalapeños and the red chili pepper which were all delicious and a nice crunch too. My 4.5 yr old had 5 tacos de asada plain and killed em all, lol 😆! So the flavor is there without the toppings. By the way, if you ask which salsa is hotter, they'll say it's the green salsa, I think the red salsa is hotter, but you'll be continously adding both salsas to your meal. We will be coming in and probably not order for delivery due to freshness, its worth the drive. (I only took an photo of my meal. We couldn't wait to...
