My hubby and I decided to try Pho Nngon restaurant in the Lake Elsinore CA area because the reviews maker it sound like it was phenomenal however unfortunately that wasn't our experience! My hubby ordered the Lemongrass vermicelli with Chicken dish which was very good according to him! I think that because he can handle it spicy & he ordered it a little more spicy than usual, he said that really added lots of flavor! He really liked it! I ordered the Chow Fun with Chicken. Unfortunately when I first tried this dish it was a little flavorless but I added some hoisin sauce too it and it made it so much better!! Maybe it was just an off day! My hubby liked it so we will probably be back to give it one more try! Lol . I'm just being honest! 😊 UPDATE; Okay, I have an update for you all. So we did end up going back because my hubby really likes their Lemongrass Vermicelli bowl. This time I decided to try their Shaking Beef plate. That's because it's usually one of the first on any menu that I try Lol.. 😊 it's also one of my favorite dishes to try at any Vietnamese restaurant! I must say, their Shaking Beef dish is one of my favorites now! Lol I've only found two or three restaurants out here that can make that dish phenomenal! Their sauce is just so yummy!! I actually ordered a side of it too add just a little bit more to my dish just because it was so good!! 😋 You can easily see that this is one of my favorite dishes now and is definitely worth...
Read moreI been here twice and looks like this will be my last. The first time, I placed a Togo order. When I arrived home, all I had received for pho was the broth and noodles. I dint bother in calling bc I wasn't planning on driving back to get the meats. So calling to complain wouldn't have solved anything at the moment, so I let it go. Rainy day, decided everyone needs a second chance. Today the gentleman man acknowledged my regular pho order was taking long, he apologized as he passes by me with orders for guest who had arrived minutes after I had. I guess seeing me wait everytime reminded him I had been her longer. Overall my not coming back wasn't due to the poor service, I dont always expect exceptional service at restaurants especially oriental restaurants. I come for the food.
Overall the most crucial part of pho is the broth. Felt the broth lacked a full body flavor. I think everyone should try this place once, not many pho places around Perris, none in the area are all that great, but this one in particular the broth is beyond bland. The experience eating the pho can equate to that of eating instant cup a noodles. Give it a try, but beware, there's a few other choices near who's eating experience is much more enjoyable and food much...
Read moreAfter my eye appointment at the optometry office next door, I stopped by Pho Ngon for lunch. Even though it’s out in Riverside County, I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic the pho tasted. They offered a variety of options, including noodles, spring rolls, rice dishes, and more.
The restaurant was clean, and they even had a robotic machine that delivered soup to the table. You could either take it yourself or, as in our case, one of the servers helped since the soup was hot.
Ordering and payment were done entirely online at the table, which made the process very efficient. They also accept cash if you prefer or payment at the register.
The restaurant is located in a large plaza with plenty of parking, right near Target. The ambiance was casual and no-frills, making it a great spot for a quick and...
