I was craving Mexican food and googled nearby Mexican restaurants. I chose to come here based on the reviews. I was really hoping to like this place however, my first time experience was nothing I expected. The staff was very friendly over the phone while I placed my order (that’s 1 star). My BF and I arrived at the restaurant to pick up our order and while we were waiting, we noticed guests that were dining in, were being served complementary salsa and chips. After we received our order and did not see the complementary chips and salsa, my BF asked at the cash register if they can give us the complementary chips and salsa. The staff said that it’s only complimentary for guests who are dining in, and she was saying this while she was ringing up the order on the register. My BF decided to pay for chips and salsa since she already had rang them up. After we were given our order, I noticed there was no salsa included. I asked the staff “where is the salsa”and they said that we will have to pay extra for salsa. So we paid $4.95 for tortilla chips? Why would I want tortilla chips without salsa ::/ I felt like they were trying to hustle us for every penny. I’ve never heard of a Mexican restaurant charging for only chips without salsa. That alone was already a turn off for me as customer service is extremely important for five stars. At that point, they should have just said we’ll add complementary chips and salsa but the next time we will need to charge you, and I would’ve been fine with that. I ordered the three rolled Shredded beef tacos plate. I felt as though there was not enough flavor in the shredded beef and the rice and beans were not something I would say I would come back for. I would PROBABLY try this restaurant out one more time because I did see a lot of delicious pictures that were posted but not too sure. Maybe next time I’ll order dine in and get my complementary chips and salsa and then ask for to go boxes so I won’t feel like I was cheated...
Read moreI have been here several times.. the food is good but... This last experience was I would say terrible... We waited 30 minutes for our order to be brought to us considering the place was not busy... When we did get our order which I had the #16 which is the Chile Releno combo.. as did my brother in law.. the Releno's were cold on the inside... So we sent them back .. 15 minutes later we received our meals once again... Not long after my brother in law pulled a tooth pick out of his mouth.. he had taken a bite off his releno.. when he confirmed the waitress she played it off like it was supposed to be there..but I had the same dish and I had no tooth pick besides that.. it was inside of his releno.. he almost swallowed it.. those upset me as with my bro in law our appetites were gone after that.. Before this I would have have it a much better rating ... But food safety is part of dining experience.. not good...
