Worst Italian food I have ever had
We had a party of six. Ordered Bread and Salsa, Lasagna, Penne Pasta (aka Vincenzo's Specialty) Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp (2 Orders), Gnocchi, Fried Calamari, Caprese Salad and the Penne Ortolano The meat sauce is dull lacks flavor nothing traditional about it, the Lasagna and Penne are prepared improperly they should be a casserole, the ricotta cheese was dried out, especially in the Penne, the pasta below the cheese were just that plain pasta, but again it starts with the sauce the lasagna had a layer of grease around the edges and was prepared similarly to the Penne, dry flavorless Ricotta. As for the alfredo sauce you can get better at Olive Garden and that's not saying much. I can make a tremendous rich flavorful Alfredo Sauce in 10 minutes with all fresh ingredients Fresh Cream, Parmesan, Romano and Season to taste. When I was a kid my grandmother made Gnocchi by hand with my Mom and Aunts sitting a table half the so I know my Gnocchi she had best recipe ever, rolling by hand is too time consuming now we just pipe the pasta, we never use store bought your Gnocchi fell way short, and the sauce was clumsy and overpowered by seasoning remember fresh is always better and use the KISS principle Keep It Simple Stupid. We are pretty sure the Bread that came with the salsa was packaged brown and serve. Why not make fresh Focaccia, Ciabatta or Coppia Ferrarese easy to make and delicious (by the way don't charge for the bread) personally I would go with Focaccia. The Caprese salad was good could have used a little more Cracked Pepper for my liking but that was not offered by the Waitress, nor was fresh Parmesan for any of the dishes, which is not an option we had to use processed Parmesan from a shaker. The final disappointment was the Dessert selection, it did not exist. I tried the Key Lime Cheesecake it was a total let down came right out of box. While I understand serving great desserts can and will slow down table turn times and reduce profits slightly it also keeps them coming back and if you have patrons in a hurry they will order it to go. Let me share with you a story about one of my favorites Italian Restaurants Alessi's, They made such incredible pastries and desserts that it spawned a whole new business, now they have hugely successful bakery the Grosses about 20 Million a year. You don't have to have a huge selection but you need to have a selection and it has to be fresh. Try some of these Italian Favorites, Lemon Ricotta Cake with Almonds, Tiramisu, Any Flavor Panna Cotta Tart (my favorite is chocolate vanilla berry) and don't ever forget Cannoli's the most ordered...
Read moreIm very sorry but after eating here and loving the food they have completely out customer service. I ordered a very large order almost $200. I used doordash which I use literally almost daily sometimes twice a day as im very busy. The innocent driver showed up with literally only 2 items out of 15 items & I said where is the order. He was kind tried to call doordash support while I called the restaurant. The lady who didn't pack the food blamed the dasher. Then the manager and I forget his name but he as well was the worst service ever. I should of canceled but I let doordash try to go back and get my order and then it arrives literally missing 3 items dessert, soup, and the Kids Ravioli with marinara sauce. I called manager back & he literally said we always do meat sauce once again no accountability. I said your menu says kids Ravioli with marinara sauce and we have ordered it before then I said im missing still items the soup and dessert and he literally told me that maybe the dasher took them. He said they have delivered pizza half eaten!! I use doordash again honestly 5 to 7 days a week sometimes twice a day. Doordash is very kind, responsible and accountable. Honestly, I will never order here again, the prices are high. I spent almost $200 and didn't get my order and the manager was honestly worst customer service. I definitely would go elsewhere. They are expensive, rude, and don't take...
Read moreMy wife and I have been going to Vincenzo's restaurant for many years. We arrived at 6.30pm on Sunday 21st August. There was no one in the restaurant except for one single diner. We were seated at a booth and ordered our drinks. About 20 minutes later a family arrived - father, mother and three small children. The whole restaurant which consists of two large rooms was empty other than ourselves. Guess where they seated the family - in a booth next to us! Within minutes the youngest child (1 year old) started started emitting a high pitched screech and this was repeated every other minute or so. I finally said out loud, "quiet please!" The mother took the child to reception and the whole family was moved to the other room where the 1 year old kept screeching every now and again but now being in the next room it was a lot more acceptable. We completed our dinner, paid the check and then the Manageress came to our table to inform us quite curtly that Vincenzo's was a family restaurant and we would not be welcomed back again! We responded questioning the unpleasant noise the child had been making and were told again that Vincenzo's is a family restaurant and the noise was okay! So the message dear prospective diner is, if you want to have an evening out with children allowed to do what they wish in the restaurant then Vincenzo's is the place...
