Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Lake Forest

BUYER BEWARE! I had an extremely unsatisfactory experience at this location today. Overall, it took over 30 minutes to get my order of two simple sandwiches to-go and the Manager, Nia, was unprofessional and not helpful, and because they kept getting my order wrong.

Gentleman 1 took my order (#9 - Italian Night Club, not toasted, cut in half, add cucumbers, hot peppers and kickin ranch, $6.99 Reward Toasted Ultimate Italian, add cucumbers, hot peppers and kickin ranch). However, while I was ordering, Nia interrupted and tried to correct gentleman 1 with regards to the $6.99 reward toast sandwich, which gentleman 1 and I were fully aware which sandwiches to choose from the reward deal because it says specifically on the detail. Then, I noticed my order was taking 30 mins long and three other customers behind me had their orders already. I asked if my order was missed and Nia interjected while holding out a long salami and said we still have to cut more salami. So I waited again and saw my name on the sandwich and I asked gentleman 2 if that was mine and if I can check inside as I ordered at this store before and got my order wrong. Gentleman 2 said yes and I noticed there were alot of ingredients missing. Nia then interrupted and said that's not my sandwich and gentleman 2 said it's hers. Gentleman 2 said he'll remake it. Not feeling totally confident at this point, I had to repeat my order to them over again and again while making the sandwiches. Additionally, they didn't cut one of my sandwiches as asked when ordering. No apologies and any compensation offered for messing up my order and waiting for a long time.

Not sure what is happening with the Lake Forest Jimmy John's. Second time I have ordered food and there has been an issue... First time, I was told they were out of bread, and so I said, ok when can you deliver the food and was told, we aren't delivering any food. Figured it was a fluke so I just ordered, 1hr later, nothing so I called them and was told, we don't have any drivers so we will give you a refund. When I said were you going to notify anyone that you're unable to take food orders and was told, no, we aren't. When I asked if I could pick up the food, I was told yes but they didn't make the order since they planned to cancel it. I'm pretty understanding when it comes to delays with deliveries but one poor guy running the shop when it has a delivery business with zero idea what to do when this happens seems like incredibly poor management, ownership and training. Super sad to see a good place fail like this. I'm guessing this place is very poorly run, I don't blame the teenager trying to deal with all the craziness. Get a grown up in there and...

I like Jimmy John's, but apparently not all of their outlets are equivalent. The ones on Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa, on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, and in Pasadena - top notch. Not this one. Far from it. Here in Lake Forest the bread was stale. I asked for extra mayo, mustard and oil & vinegar (I don't like a dry sandwich), which I don't think they bothered doing; and then, when I asked for extra mayo packets, 3 of the 5 they gave me couldn't be opened. I doubt Arnold Schwarzenegger could have been able to open them. The order taker didn't tell me the correct price, and then she short-changed me. Only a dime or so mind you, but still.. This place gets a C+ and I think that's being generorous. If you visit this particular outlet in Lake Forest, expect a sub-par experience (and, glancing at several other recent reviews, apparently I'm not the only one who feels this way)....
