Oh. My. Gosh. Why has it taken me so long to dine here? My husband works in LG and frequents here. He wanted to take myself and our daughter out for Mother's Day lunch here so we met him. Honestly, I just can't say enough good things, but I am going to try! We were greeted by one of the friendliest people I have run into hosting, luckily, there was one table left on the patia (which is fantastic by the way). Waitress was very prompt with our drink and app order. Let me get into the nitty gritty. Hibiscus Margarita, AMAZING! And I mean it. I like to consider myself a margarita connoisseur and this was in my top 5 of all of the places I have been in the country. No joke. My husband had a margarita with a full size beer in it, which was also amazing in it's own right. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but my husband indulged us. Queso and Guac to start, phenomenal (but took most of it home). My daughter and I ordered Chicken and Steak quesadillas which I hate to say is my go to at new establishments. (I will NOT make that mistake again, here). They were great, but the menu is full of traditional offerings that I cannot wait to try. Part of their specials for Mother's Day was Elote in a cup and it was very flavorful. I'm not sure if it is on the menu all of the time, but a girl can hope. Here is the star of the show: The Quesabirrias Con Consome. Order it. Love it. Come back and order it again. So fresh. So delicious. We were seated quickly and the server was nice and attentive. There were no prices on the menu and we were given a flute of water with no ice while other tables had ice. Not a big deal but they were reusing the flutes and you had to use your hands to flip the cap off. Guaranteed there were other peoples hands all over the spout. Chips and pico de gallo were okay. We ordered the enchilada dinner and the taco dinner. The ingredient quality was seemingly very bad. I had never seen ground beef in such big chunks and so dry. The rice and beans had an odd taste to them. I’ve had Mexican all my life ranging from canned beans to expensive and this was the worst I’ve had. The cheese was pre packaged and I got charged an extra 75¢ for the cheese. The taco dinner was $16 and absolutely not worth it. I’ve had $9 of taco dinners much better than that. The enchilada dinner came with an excessive amount of red sauce that he could not eat due to the taste. He tried eating just the filling but could only finish a little. Enchilada Platillio was $15. Also I was given a margarita straw I think for my soda and it just fell in the cup, my partner didn’t even get a fork in his silverware. I would never come here again or recommend it. Terrible Service!!!!! If I could give the service 0 stars for service, I would. Last night, my friend and I dined in. We ordered drinks, chips and guac and two entrees. We got our drinks at separate times (my margarita first, her beer later). We then waited, and waited, and waited. We watched chips and guac come out for every other table, whether they arrived before or after us, and finally asked our waitress once we actually located her. Wordless, she went into the kitchen, grabbed them for us and dropped them off. Then we waited again. Finally, the waitress brought my entree, but not my friends. The waitress told my friend hers would be out in a couple minutes. Over FIFTEEN minutes later, my drink empty and my friend still without food, I asked the hostess (again, waitress was nowhere to be found) about my friend's food. She went in the kitchen, came back out, and never said anything to us. Our waitress finally walked by about 5 minutes later and we asked about the food, she didn't say anything, went in the kitchen, came out a minute later with the food and again didn't say anything - no apology, didn't ask if we needed more drinks (both empty), nothing.
