I have always been going to this establishment since she had first open the original spot downtown Sanford, and I followed her to the location that's in Lake Mary. Well today, I was very displeased in my juice, for it wasn't potent as it has always been. It was freshly made, but the produce used for my Beet Me Up with pineapple added was very weak that I can tell the produce wasn't as fresh as it should had been. I had purchased a large totaling 12 bucks and some change, but when I had looked at it, it looked like a small instead! The girl behind the counter kept saying or trying to make a point that it was a large because it didn't have any ice in it meaning I'm getting all juice. Mind you since I've been going to this business I have never known ice to be in it. Plus, I asked and seen the two differences between the small and large cup, and it wasn't a large even though I was charged for a large. I have been juicing on my own since 2009 before all these juicing bars started popping up, but if I'm going to be over charged for produce that doesn't have the potency or quality it should or giving a smaller size than purchased, I might as well buy my own produce and juice myself! Update: As I was reading through the comments, I see the owner now is a man. This explains my disappointment for today's visit because the lady (the previous owner) her produce has always been fresh, and my drinks was so potent that it gave me the energy I needed instantly! She was friendly and approachable. Plus, the large was was a size to appreciate! With that being said, I'll...
Read moreLet me set the scene: The family is cruising down the road, I’m mid-bite into my Islander Bowl (with a Matcha Base), fully immersed in tropical bliss, when suddenly… I realize they forgot to add my blueberries. Dun. Dun. Dunnn.
Did I pay an extra dollar for them? Yes.
Did I receive them? No.
Did this moment cause a dramatic pause in my otherwise euphoric Root’s Raw Juice Bar experience? Absolutely.
But there is a silver lining—it was still ridiculously good. Like, “if I had to fight a seagull for it, I would” good. The matcha base was new to me, and that coconut water they got in that base? Pure genius. Refreshing, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness.
The PB Yay! (with the Açaí Base and added bananas) was also next-level—so fresh that I’m convinced they have a secret garden of perfect fruit growing in the back. We left nothing behind. Demolished. Devoured. Not a crumb or açaí base smudge survived.
So while my missing blueberries could’ve been my villain origin story, I’m letting it slide because it was busy, and multiple people ordered similar bowls. Lesson learned: always check before leaving. But even without my beloved berries, Root’s Juice Bar delivered a 5-star experience.
Will I go back? Absolutely.
Will I double-check my toppings next time? You can bet your...
Read moreI’ve been going here for a while as I love the coffee express smoothie. I have spent hundreds of dollars at this location. Here is the feedback:
Culture- needs to change. Almost everyone looks half asleep, unenthusiastic and bothered by customers presence with the exception of one small blonde girl.
Consistency- each time I get the smoothie it tastes different depending on who is making it.
I always pay extra for collagen powder. Anybody who makes it always gives me a little bit. That’s left over that doesn’t fit in the glass. Today the rude brunette, man who I believe is the only male staff member refused to give me the substantial amount of liquid that was left behind because he made too much. When I asked him to please give me the remainder. He refused, saying that the owners told him he could not. That makes no sense. I paid five dollars extra for collagen powder and a lot of it was still left in the blender. He should have made the correct amount instead of having so much left over. Absolutely super rude if she. he probably just wants to drink it. Not a good staff member to have. He’s driven away a...
