Update on June 17th, 2025 (Original over one year ago): I ordered again tonight. I ordered the combo with 3 Rolled Tacos w/ Beans & Rice, off of Grubhub. I only received the tacos, no beans or rice. It's a real bummer, because I was really looking forward to the beans & rice. It appears this was not an exception, as the store suggested below last time - I ordered the same product and it was still messed up, just a different mistake. I really don't understand what the difficulty is. Perhaps they can shed some light on why they are still having trouble making the same item, over a year later. 🤷🏼♂️
My order is messed up almost every single time, Whether I go in person or order delivery. I do not like guacamole or pico, and no matter how I ask, they ALWAYS put it anyway, even when I order the rolled tacos that don't even include guacamole. This time, I ordered via Uber. I had to look up their actual menu to even determine what was on many of the items or what they came with. You would think they would actually specify that many of the specials come with rice and beans, but they don't. There was no option for just a side of rice and/or beans, as their normal menu has. I wanted rolled tacos, so that left me with an annoying choice. Uber doesn't let you remove anything at Rigobertos (yet another dumb decision). Unfortunately, while their rolled taco section does have an option with guacamole and one with just the cheese, their specials menu assumes that anyone wanting rice and beans has to like guacamole - there is no separate option (even though because there is no description when listed on the specials, nobody would even know there is guacamole in the first place and would probably assume there isn't, since that's how it's listed on their own menu for the cheese only option). So I either had to choose 3 rolled tacos with no rice or beans since i cant order them seperate (putting me under the min order, adding 3 dollars to my order as a result and paying more for the rolled taco portion than i would have in a meal) or order the one in the meal that has guacamole but doesn't say it does. So I chose the second option. Luckily, I could at least add a note. I wrote 3 very basic statements, hoping it would maybe click in their heads.
1.) NO GUACAMOLE 2.) I will not eat guacamole and 3.) CHEESE AND LETTUCE ONLY
That's pretty clear, in what I'm asking for, right? Apparently not. Just in case, and because I know they have so much trouble, I specifically texted my uber driver and requested that he ask them to make sure there is no guacamole on my order and offered him a few extra dollars, if he got the order to me with no guacamole (against all odds). He accepted the request and went inside to ensure they didn't add it. Lo and behold, they were unable to grasp such a concept as simply not lifting up their scoop and not dumping guacamole all over the rolled tacos. They even threw a few unsolicited tomatoes for good measure - great guess on what item you could randomly add, that I also hate. What a waste. Now I get to throw away a majority of my order and won't get a full meal tonight.
Thanks Rigobertos! You're never getting my business again after this, guess I'll be sticking to your competitors. 🤷🏼♂️ Take a look at the reviews, filtered by the lowest. I promise, you'll notice a pattern. They're all about this locations inability to get an order right, poor sanitation, long lines, uber orders, and poor quality/old food. Anything else you notice? No replies even try to make it right. 🤔😳 One consistency though is a half baked apology and hope of you returning. Why would we return when the goal is to simply get a payment and not care about anything else? I'm sitting here without the food I paid for and no options, but I guarantee this won't be made right, because Rigobertos has already been paid. Pathetic. Either lower pricing to early 2000s McDonalds prices to reflect the lack of customer service skills and extreme lack of pride in your work, learn how to run a business, or shutter the...
Read moreThe food I would rate four stars because I can't honestly say it's the best since the burrito I got was very few different ingredients and not much of them it was mostly just the meat making of the burrito. Yes this is good I guess but it would have been better to have more of the rest of the ingredients instead of feeling like I'm eating a meat burrito. I feel weird saying this because normally I would be all for having a ton of me but I was kind of let down about the fact that I had to add my beans and rice into the burrito along with sour cream just to make it taste like a burrito. I have the lengua burrito it was pretty good sized my boyfriend had the carne asada fries which I highly recommend very highly recommend but get a side of sour cream with it otherwise you might be kind of sad without it. The side of sour cream cost $1 expensive yeah. Also the internet here for the menu prices are completely wrong I was going to the place expecting for the burrito to be $4 and I was excited about that but come to find out the burrito was six or seven dollars I can't quite remember but I got a combination plate which was $8.70 total and the carne asada a Fries plate was $8.60 total. They are basically like nachos but with fries instead of chips and they have a ton of meat and some guacamole and a little cheese on top probably a few other things but the meat covered a bunch of it so I couldn't tell but they tasted amazing though fresh fries and I would definitely go back right now if I could afford it it is so delicious even though I went there at 6 a.m. this morning. They are 24 hours open and they have a drive-thru. I'm not sure what time the drive thru opens or if it closes but at 8 a.m. the drive thru was open I noticed. It would be nice if they could have...
Read more01/30/2022: 4.95 out of 5 - I've been coming to Rigoberto's since July 2010 when I moved up from San Diego, California.
This place is far better than the Mexican eateries that are remotely related in terms of food in SoCal, where I was first introduced to this "Berto's" style of Mexican foods when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton.
For years I trained, surfed, and grinded, so when it came to eating any of the "Berto's" was always the place to hit up because it was consistently good, inexpensive and they all were open 24 hours.
Fast forward to Rigoberto's off McLaughlin here in Milwaukee, Oregon (where I still train hard, work hard and play hard) and they do all that with consistency that is amazingly delicious!
Rigoberto's, for me, is always a great "go to" at any time of the day, night or the much later after hours.
Like I've always said before, try it once and decide for yourself.
Enjoy!
03/04/19: 4.75 out of 5 - If you lived or visited SoCal, have crossed the border into Mexico, and eaten the Mexican night life street vendor foods, then you will, or need to know, this place is the "MUST GO TO" Mexican restaurant to eat at.
The food is tasty, there is plenty of sauces and peppers to go around, it's priced fairly well, and I've been going to Rigoberto's for over 9 years. Basically, since I moved to the area from SoCal. Another best part of Rigoberto's...it's open 24 hours!
Although the seating area can be improved upon, but from all my visits, the place is constantly kept clean. There is a drive-thru for those who don't want to dine in. It's not for everyone especially if you are expecting something like Taco Hell, er, I mean Taco Bell.
Definitely worth trying it at least once and deciding for...
