These cakes really do live up to their name! We just got married last weekend and Too Sweet Cakes made us a 12" round 7 layer cake and a 6" vegan/GF one. They were both so beautiful! We got a million compliments on the 12" one, our guests loved it. Many said it was perfectly moist and fluffy. I do regret ordering the vegan and GF one, it just wasn't what I had hoped for, but I understand how challenging it is without eggs or gluten to make a good cake. There was A LOT of frosting on both cakes (see photo of 6" cake - there was more frosting than cake), too much for my taste, but others said they were perfect. One complaint: I asked 3 separate times for a different type of frosting and the response was "We'll get back to you", but I never got any answer. So, we had a frosting flavor that wasn't what we wanted. Overall, we were happy with our weddings cakes, and would recommend Too Sweet Cakes for others looking for a bakery to create their special wedding cake.

Too Sweet Cakes is such a wonderful bakery in the neighborhood. The team members are super friendly, and the atmosphere is really relaxed. Their cupcakes are so delicious. We ordered Maple Croissant Doughnut, Ham & Swiss Croissant, Salted Caramel Bar, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake, and a Vanilla Lattie. Retuned again to get another Ham & Swiss Croissant, and tried the Double Chocolate Cupcake, Red Velvet Cupcake, and Peppermint Cookies & Cream Cupcake. They are so good. Highly recommend: Ham & Swiss Croissant, Salted Caramel Bar, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake.

My daughter recommended Too Sweet Cakes for a birthday cake to celebrate my husband's 50th. I decided on an 8" German chocolate cake. It was not only gorgeous but the most moist cake I've bought and eaten. Rich chocolate flavor with just the right amount of coconut. Easy to transport in a very sturdy box. It was difficult to cut - even after reading directions on their website multiple times - but I'm going to blame it on the wine! Highly highly recommend Too Sweet Cakes! You will not be disappointed!

We chose Too Sweet Cakes after seeing they had won Oregon Wedding Day’s Best of 2025 Award for best cakes and desserts outside of Portland, and as fate would have it, the person who accepted the award was someone I went to high school with! That familiarity gave me an added sense of trust, and once I started looking through their portfolio, I knew I’d found the right place.

We ordered a 6" vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and a berry compote filling, topped with a beautiful ring of mixed berries and “Just Married” written in icing. I had sent them a photo of what I wanted, and they recreated it perfectly, down to the smallest detail. Originally, we were considering a 4" cutting cake, but they advised that a 6" would photograph better. I’m so glad we listened, because it looked absolutely gorgeous in the photos.

Communication throughout the process was fantastic. They were incredibly responsive and helpful, and they made it super easy to coordinate a pickup with our friends on the day of the wedding.

The cake itself? Stunning and delicious. It looked exactly how I pictured it, and tasted even better. The balance of flavors was spot on, and the texture was light and moist. It was such a sweet little centerpiece for that part of our day.

I will definitely be ordering from Too Sweet Cakes again in the future, and I’d absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for a wedding cake that’s as beautiful as...

This review is specific to the gluten free/sensitive options.

I've tried a number of the gluten free/sensitive menu items and almost all of them are sub-par. I really want to like them. There are not a lot of GF options around so I appreciate the effort. I would give it 2-Stars, except that I appreciate the effort to offer GF.

*The banana bread is the only standout that is worth trying.

-The donuts are full of oil/fat to a gross level. Just feel how heavy one of them is. There's no texture or lightness to the dough. You bite into it and it immediately turns into a goo of oil/fat in your mouth. -The muffins, while not as bad as the donuts, are a similar story. -The monster cookie is just a disc-shaped vehicle for sugar--not much there for texture or unique flavor. -The French macarons are okay, but the flavors are a bit strange. For example the "pistachio" offering tastes of mint, and the filling for the "lavender" tastes like Betty...
