Rustic Cork Wine Bar — Restaurant in Lake Stevens

This place was such a disappointment. We had called 2 weeks in advance to make reservations for a bachelorette party, group of 8. When calling we were told that there would be flights for drinks, live music and possibly karaoke the night of our reservations. We called again, about 30 minutes prior to our reservation time to check in, and they told us our table was ready. Upon arrival, our waitress seemed very agitated when she sat our group. When taking our order she was very short and rude. After getting our entire groups orders (most of us ordering salads) she informed that she was the only person working, both as the server and cook and that they were out of lettuce so we would have to “bear with her”. Of course, since most of us were ordering salads we were quite confused how she was planning on making our food since they were out of lettuce. We quickly decided that we weren’t going to stay, especially with the waitresses attitude. One of our group members ran up to the waitress and told her we were just going to finish our drinks and pay the bill but not get the food as we had just ordered and nothing had been started. We stayed to finish a couple hors d’oeuvres and our drinks and then paid and left. The entire time, the waitress treated our group like and inconvenience. I completely understand what it’s like working customer service and having your entire team call out, leaving you shorthanded. However, as a business, they should have either made the decision to close down for the day or informed our group the second we walked in that they were shorthanded and out of menu items. It would have been an understandable situation had we been made aware of it right away. Instead, we were met with incredibly rude service and honestly wasted our time as they didn’t have the capacity to deliver good service...

I was very disappointed and will not be going back. We went to Rustic Cork on a Tuesday evening just wanting something to eat that was good and a glass of wine. I was very surprised that not one staff members had a mask on when everywhere I go, masks are required. The local wine selection was not great but I expected that. The staff seemed attentive to people that are either regulars or who they know. With this being our first time in, we did not receive good or even reasonable service. We ordered a large charcuterie board that took a very long time to be delivered and was more in-line with other places small portions with very little variety. We started with a wine sampler that the waitress pointed to a card on the table and said "that will explain the wines" and left to go talk to other employees. Then we made the mistake of flagging her down and ordering sparkling rose that was flat and obviously had been open too long to be served. The next time the waitress "checked" on us was to bring...

It was comedy night tonight. 20.00 cover. We came just as it was beginning. Fun evening, although the front door was locked and I was let in via the outside seating patio area so no cover. Pleasantly crowded and the entertainment was hard to hear. Three stand up comics held our attention for almost 2 hours. The second person happened to be female and she hit home continually with her fellow gender. We were rolling with laughter and it felt fantastic. Open air, clear night, refreshing wine, light yummy appetizers to go along with down to earth female appreciation of the human existence alone during these past 16 months.
