I stopped here around 9pm, they are open until 10pm. The best thing about this place is probably their location. The customers were loud and drunk, which whatever, to each his own, just an observation. The food was nothing special, nothing to set it apart from other Mexican chains, I did enjoy it and ate all of it. I had three enchiladas 1 cheese, 1 chicken, 1 beef, included rice and beans. I got two beers while I was eating. Total with tip ended being about $40, seemed a little spendy for one person.
The main reason my rating is not great is because as I was sitting there eating, they started vacuuming and cleaning. The cleaning liquid they were using had an extremely strong smell, and then my food and beer started to taste like what I was smelling. It’s not like I was hanging out past when they were open, I was all buttoned up and out the door by 9:30pm (part of that was because I hurried once I started smelling the cleaner). My suggestion would be to wait until after you close and customers are gone to start your closing process, or at least wait until 10pm. I understand wanting to get a jump start and get off work, but then close earlier, don’t make your customers suffer because of it. Or do whatever you want, but I won’t be back. At that point, I’d rather go to Bruno’s next door, plus they are...
Read moreMy first time here. A little disappointed in the proportion but the food was good. It's hard finding a good restaurant now days. I give 4 stars because the drink wasn't good and it wasn't alot of food the sauce was good but a little salty. UPDATE came back again ordered the chimichanga with chicken it's good but the drinks are still bad do not order the lemon drop. And heads up this place is a little pricey if you order anything more then a basic burrito I paid around $23 for the chicken a la creme dish.
UPDATE DEC 26 2021 I took my brother here for lunch at 3 pm and although I hate to say this..the food was horrible. So my initial 4 stars goes to the 1 first cook. The cook I had today did not make the polo a la creme sauce good it tasted like I was eating mouthfuls of sour cream. I asked about it and the waitress told me the cook says the sauce is made of sour cream and cream cheese now I could be wrong but pretty sure there is an ingredient missing! I had to switch my food out for something else it was that bad and I got the chimichanga instead again it was not good and they didn't put any of the red sauce on it like my photo from the first one I was so disappointed in this. I'm also lowering my rating for this because all Cooks should have the same way of making the dishes for the restaurant...
Read moreHad high hopes for this place but after receiving a mojito with mostly brown mint leaves I could tell it wasn't going to be good. The only good thing I can say is the carnitas had ok flavor but that's the best I can say. My drink tasted like sugar water with nasty looking mint leaves that I couldn't drink because it looked like it came out of a rotten pond. Everything else had no flavor besides spice from the salsa. After telling whoever was serving us (kinda wondering if he actually worked there at this point) about my drink his response was I shouldn't order stuff that I don't know what it's supposed to taste like. Yeah great service skills here, clearly that response was because I have white skin, otherwise have that response make sense. Mojito. Rum, lime, soda water, spash of simple syrup, mint leaves, and lime wheel for a garnish. Never going back. The Mexican restaurant in Safeway parking lot is way better and way friendlier than...
