1st Chop Suey — Restaurant in Lake Township

Tried it for the first time; Won't be going back. There's nothing special about it to set it apart from the 1,000 other Chinese restaurants, and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes on top of the original 25 for pickup.

Egg rolls were OK, but one still had pink semi-cooked pork in it. Tasted like any other egg roll you've ever had.

Sesame chicken was terrible. Sauce was watery brown, and the chicken was very stringy. I threw the rest of it out when I bit into the chicken "knuckle" you find at the end of the leg - that fatty, nasty piece with tendons running through it. I've never experienced that anywhere. It was disgusting.

Mongolian beef was about 10 beef slices with 2 pounds of sliced raw onions. I've never seen so many onions in a dish. The beef was OK, but heavily peppered. Not a deal breaker, but the onions were. They were there to take up space.

Shrimp fried rice was average, but it's hard to mess up fried rice. Definitely the best of all the dishes.

I know everyone has their favorite place and likes their sauce different ways. This could have been 3 stars if they didn't fill the beef with onions to take up space, and would be 4 stars if the garbage inedible parts of the chicken weren't used in the meal. Maybe it'll be better next time, but that's for someone else to decide. I won't...

Interior looks run down and likely hasn't been cleaned in a loooong time, from what I could see kitchen was in the same condition. The food doesn't taste that great I ordered the Orange Chicken Meal it came with: Orange Chicken which was ok, not good, just ok... Chicken Fried Rice which is what I ate the most of and it was good, and an egg roll that I only ate one bite of was meh. Only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 was cause 1. it was pretty cheap and 2. the portion size is ridiculously huge

**I wanted to give it 1 star for how terrible the interior looks, but I feel like if they do some intense deep cleaning and maybe put a new coat of paint the place won't look so run down and have more appeal

*Ultimately won't come here again unless I'm flat broke and need food...

I've ordered from this place for 6 years. I love their food and their main delivery driver is an angel, although my order experience today was horrible. The takes down the wrong number after I repeated it 3 times. She never asked for my address, then when I proceed to give it to her she tells me she already had it. Over an hour later, I call back to check my order and tells me some long drawn out story but fails to admit she took down the wrong number and never took down my address; which resulted in me never receiving my order. The food may be good but their customer service skills stink. This is the second time within a week they have messed up...
