My partner and I are huge coffee lovers, and we often spend weekends exploring new coffee shops. This time, we invited our friends to join us since they also share a love for coffee.
We were warmly greeted at the door, which gave us a great first impression. Unfortunately, the quality of the drinks was very disappointing. My friend ordered a shaken espresso, but what she received was a watered-down iced Americano. I felt so bad, I encouraged her to give the place another chance and order something else—she went with an iced mocha. Sadly, the second drink wasn’t any better. It tasted like whole milk with chocolate syrup—no real espresso flavor at all.
The rest of our group also felt their drinks were watered down and poorly made. It was such a letdown, especially since we were all excited to try a new spot and it was highly recommended. The only highlight was the food. We had breakfast burritos (one bacon, one chorizo), a panini, and chocolate croissants—all of which were delicious.
In addition, one major red flag for me was the water. When we asked for cups of water, they were filled straight from the sink. That’s a big no-no in my book.
Overall, it’s a beautiful place with a nice vibe, but based on the quality of the coffee, I’d give it a 1 out of 10. Not a spot we’d revisit for...
Read moreThere’s no denying that Dream Catcher is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. With its cozy ambiance, quality coffee, and thoughtfully curated menu, it quickly became a go-to spot for catching up with friends, working remotely, or just enjoying a quiet moment.
However, while the coffee is rich, the shop’s connection to the community feels a bit thin. In a neighborhood known for its vibrant immigrant roots and diverse population, it’s disappointing not to see any visible efforts to uplift or even acknowledge that part of the local identity. Whether through inclusive artwork, community partnerships, or hiring practices, there’s room to do more.
Additionally, there’s little indication that Dream Catcher Cafe engages with or supports local youth or broader community initiatives. For a business that’s quickly become a community hub, it’s surprising not to see more investment in the very people who make this...
Read moreI went in this morning for the first time and I’m pleased to say that I was extremely satisfied with the iced chai latte and the turkey BLT panini. They offer multiple types of mayo and I chose the spicy chile de árbol mayo. I always need some spice whenever I eat and that touch satisfied my need. Great service from the cashier and owner of the restaurant. In the midst of today’s wave of bland, minimalist interiors and sterile modern design, this café is a refreshing breath of artistic charm. From the cozy cushioned seating to the striking blue tiles that instantly caught my eye. The patterns throughout the space are subtle yet rich with character, adding warmth without overwhelming. It’s clear that every detail was chosen with care, creating an atmosphere that feels both creative and inviting. The aesthetic was the cherry on top of an already...
