Wendy's — Restaurant in Lake Township

SLOOOOOOOOOOOW!! TERRIBLE SERVICE. Very unprofessional. My wife put in a mobile order for pick up. I took the journey to the Wendy's. Get there and the doors are locked. I peer inside to see workers working the drive thru and security scarfing down food @ table off to the side. As I waved to get his attention, he ignores me. Then a pregnant worker (the shift manager) answers through the glass. I tell her I have a mobile order. She responds "u gotta go through the drive thru." Signaling towards the window. Minutes later, the security unlocks the door for patrons to come inside. I approach the counter asking the manager why would u tell me go to the drive up window. I don't own a car. She says "cuz that's how we doing it. I ain't got enough staff right now." Then instead of arguing back and forth, I told the cashier our mobile order number which took them 20 mins to assemble. This order should have been ready since it took me 20 mins to get to the location and it was paid for already. Then we ordered strawberry frosties. That was out. All they had was vanilla. The option should have been blacked out on the app. The location should have cut off mobile orders if understaffed. They shouldn't be locking doors unless closed for the day or lacking items. This location is a whole clusterfuq that doesn't deserve any business. This same service is non-existent @ locations that have majority latino staff or mixed staff. Only in the African American neighborhoods do the owner/operators allow the uneducated and unprofessional to run their establishments into the ground. Don't eat here.

I have to say for the location of this establishment, the staff were on point! Their customer service reminded me of that good ol customer service that use to exist.

The reason I say this is because, the experience I had. I stopped in to buy something in order to use their restroom (Of course I ordered something).

My order were the spicy nugget meal. 1st I loved how the cashier immediately gave me the heads up that my order will be a wait. 2nd while I were waiting they got really busy with a short handed staff which normally would result in tempers tantrums (workers and customers), that wasn't the case here.

The staff kept acknowledging their customers on the wait time while preparing several orders ahead. They didn't give frustrating Vibes which I felt really kept the crowd in character from being rude back to them. The young lady at the register kept acknowledging everyone (very professional), her manager being the same.

I were in disbelief considering the area which is why I called corporate to inform them of their professionalism as well as this review.

Far too many times we as the customers are quick to give bad reviews (especially in certain areas in Chicago) but, not commend great work ethics, which is why I say.... Way to go on a job well done! You ladies did...

I usually avoid this location because there’s always an issue with getting me my correct order. But today I decided to eat there again, unfortunately, the service was unprofessional and even with me being very clear on what I wanted I still didn’t get what I wanted. I asked the girl at the register for a 10 Pc. Combo with a lemonade. She rung it up and there was no fry, so I asked again for the 10 pc combo, she told me that’s what I was getting I just say okay. My order came out and guess what? No fries. I remind them that I ordered a combo. He tells me I never paid for a combo and some I’m just like okay so no one is going to at least let my buy a fry because my order wasn’t taking right. They really need to CLOSE THIS LOCATION, and START FIRING WORKERS. There is nooo way you couldn’t ring me up for a 10 pc combo and I asked politely twice.
